Co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck noted that the President has stated that extending unemployment benefits actually creates jobs.
“Well, then there wouldn’t be long term unemployed,” Rubio responded. “I mean, that doesn’t make any sense.”
President Obama is a Democrat. He’s not supposed to make sense.
“Look, there’s a utility to long term unemployment benefits,” he continued. “You’re trying to help people that cannot find a job to deal with the cost of daily living, but the only solution to long term unemployment is employment.”

Same thing I have been saying. The problem is the unemployment rate is wrong and we all know it. It's not 7.8% it's around 13%. They don't count people that gave up looking or count the many crossing the borders. Democrats say the economy is great until this happens. Obama didn't care when he put a package together and left out the unemployed. It's all an act now. Don't worry he needs to pass the immigration policy, that is his concern not Americans.http://downtrend.com/brian-carey/marco-rubio-smacks-down-obama-if-unemployment-benefits-create-jobs-then-why-do-we-have-long-term-unemployment/

Every state should demand they put Americans first.

Every state should demand they put Americans first.

If they don't one could reasonably ask why the state exists at all.

With regard to the long term Federal unemployment benefit extensions.....

.....If someone hasn't found a job in 2 years, they either are not trying at all or are too selective on the jobs they will accept.

How many of the 50 jobs bills that have been sent to the senate have been brought us for a vote?

It's a trick question. Reid wont allow any of them to be voted on.

It's not a trick question; neither The Democrats or Republicans support a Jobs Bill.

Marco Rubio doesn't support the Jobs Bill, Mitch McConnell doesn't support the Jobs Bill.

Harry Reid Supports the Jobs Bill, but not enough Democrats and Republicans support the Jobs Bill due to the upcoming elections.

Is that The Presidents Fault or both Houses of Congress?

Is it Rubio's fault that reid wont bring any jobs bills up for a vote?

The answer is NO. So, stop blaming him.

What/where is this mythical/magical Jobs Bill you speak of?? Have a link?

Both parties in congress are a bunch of brain frozen partisan zombies when it comes to actual legislation. Trying to hang the blame on one senator is a little silly. (Although Reid and Boehner would be reasonable candidates if we insist on stoning somebody....)

Reid and Company want jobs. More gooberment workers, expanded government, and more regulations. I'd like to know the endgame. Government doesn't make money, they take money and at some point the scale tips and they run out of people to take from.

What impact do you think it would have on job creation to raise taxes now? Good? Bad? Neither??
