A kid was king hit ( Knock out game/polar bear in US ) and he died. It happens a lot in Australia. Unprovoked attacks but also people being killed in drunken brawls.

The latest person to die from a king hit was Daniel Christie. I heard the family statement on the news today and it was really sad. The news reader cried. It was the lead story and it made the nonsense that is the news seem so much more disgusting and phony that it did. The family are clearly very intelligent people and good people. And they must be so sad.

This is the saddest announcement we can possibly make - that Daniel is no longer with us. Today (Saturday 11 January 2014) our beloved Daniel passed away in hospital surrounded by his family and friends.

While no words can describe how crushed we are, Daniel fought courageously over the past eleven days which allowed everyone to say their farewells. It has also given us all strength and tightened even further the bond our family share.

Daniel was exceptional. He was a beacon of morality with a heart of gold. We are so proud of Daniel and will strive to live with the core values he possessed; respect, dignity, pride and integrity.

He was someone who had faith in anyone, which in turn, inspired people to have faith in themselves. Daniel was so caring and encouraged people to be the best they could be.

He was a friend to everyone he met. We always knew this, but it has been reinforced this week when receiving calls of support from such a vast range of people in the community whose lives Daniel had touched.

His death has left us feeling completely destroyed and has torn a hole in the wider community in which he was involved. We have been overwhelmed by support and have felt the whole country experience our grief.

We believe there is no better way of honouring Daniel's generous and giving spirit than by donating his organs.

Unfortunately there's nothing we can do to help Daniel's situation, but we are comforted knowing that we can help others.

Although we are absolutely devastated at the tragic loss of our Daniel, we believe by sharing such a special gift with those in need, he is well and truly living on.

Most people only think about organ donation when they are forced to, but we'd like to encourage people to talk about it sooner and truly understand how important it can be for those who are seriously ill.
No family should be forced to deal with this situation, however we are not the first and we fear that we won't be the last.

We do not want Daniel's death to be in vain and are committed to rallying for change. A positive change needs to come from such a negative situation.

Daniel lived by the mantra: 'If change can be, it's up to me' - and this is something we will always embrace.

We would like 'coward punches' to be a thing of the past. People have the right to go out without experiencing mindless violence.

Therefore, if you are going for a night out, please honour Daniel's memory by thinking before you drink. Make sure your mates don't get carried away and do anything they'll later regret.

Finally, these incidents make you realise how fragile life can be.

Go home and hug your children. Tell them you love them. Call someone you don't call often enough.

Cherish your family and the important relationships in your life, because you never know when you loved one could be gone.

The media in this nation likes to exploit the tragedy of others for their agenda. Which is terrible. There are two types of families and people. People that "ask for privacy" ( good people ) and the kinds of people that will have a 'roadside vigil' which is a news cliche in derro Australia. Families and friends that use the death of a loved one to get on tv and create a facebook tribute page. People with no shame that know no better I guess. No dignity.

Now this family are champions. I am surprised that with how they must be feeling they have created something positive out of the tragedy of their sons death. Its sad but I am happy that the world includes people like Danial Christies family. (:

'If change can be, it's up to me'

By last night, more than 126,000 people had signed a petition calling on the O'Farrell government to reform sentencing laws to curb alcohol-fuelled violence.

What a world. What a stupid mindless mob. Humans are disgusting. Nothing in the west is genuine.

Those families that ask the media for privacy. Are the best. Thank god for them.

It is a real problem down here. Dont' know if it happens in any other countries or doesnt get reported, but definitely topical here. And a real issue too

I guess. What it really is though is rich people want to make it so they can be safer in the city. This is why the media is on it so hard. It is about changing laws to make them harsher and fooling thew public into asking for them.

At least there was no roadside vigil I guess.

King hit attacks are here to stay is what I think while ever we have such degenerate culture. This kind of thing wouldnt happen in China.

But I do not think the answer is to crucify some kid on a murder charge. And to interfere in the case. Like the media pushing for a murder charge is so American. The media should fuck off. And their fucking derro mob retard public.
