Senator Simpson is correct about Rick Santorum. He and many other Republican recognize the foolishness of what this man is clamoring for. The Republican Party is supposed to be for limited government, but this Santorum fool feels that America her majesty needs supervision in the bedroom. I say this unto you Mr. Santorum, For Shame, For Shame!

Who suggests there be supervision in the bedroom? No one, right? Why the hyperbole and outright lies? For shame! Pip pip! Tallyho!

My good sir, if you will kindly read the article I have put before you, you will learn that these are not my claims, but rather those of his fellow GOP senator. Senator Simpson, I might add, also has a legendary reputation for fairness and impartiality.

Sir, they are lies you have repeated here and, I might add, encouraged. For shame!

"Here's a party that believes in government out of your life, the precious right of privacy and the right to be left alone. How then can they be the hypocrisy of fiddling around in these social issues? We won't have a prayer," he told Bob Schieffer in an interview for CBS News' Face to Face, a weekly web interview from the staff of Face the Nation.

Please my good man, watch this short videoclip, listen to his words and then admit you are incorrect. These are Santorum's own words, and him giving voice to them!

if you do not care for this source, search the internet, for Santorum made the claim that government does belong in the bedroom. Many of your fellow Americans were outraged. Do not attempt to bully on this point!

I viewed the clip twice now. When has Santorum suggested that the government regulate our sex lives? You do realize that he's referring to gay marriage when he says "bedroom", right?

I admit I need to watch the clip, but what does gay marriage have to do with the bedroom?

'Government shouldn't be involved in the bedroom' is usually a reference to either gay marriage or abortion. Santorum has never supported government regulation of our sex lives.

Like a few of Ron Paul's wacky ideas (some which I agree with ) it would never have a chance of passing. I don't like him trashing libertarianism though. A lot of libertarians are more similar to the Republican Party of several decades ago than the current Republican crew.

You mean like Goldwater? :-) He was the first to push me away from Republican Party conservatism to libertarianism.

Regarding his last point, I think I've pointed this out before, but our individualism as Americans is something that sets us apart from most of the world and has been a major factor in the success we've enjoyed.

That is of course a lie but herding the sheeple is easy...

You are correct CL, and this :bullshit: running around and trying to point out who is the more conservative of a candidate is a joke. If anything Republicanism, thats Republicanism and not Conservativism. Will be what wins people over.
What wins the day. Is not going to be the social issues Santorum wants to talk about.

Explain how you translate involvement in the bedroom with gay marriage and abortion.

How else is the phrase "government in your bedroom" used in political discourse these days? Do you honestly believe Santorum is looking to regulate your sex life? Seriously?

I take people for their word, not for how I might twist their words into something they didn't say.

Then take him for his word. Frankly, I don't believe these distortions are even intentional. People are just lazy and dumb.
