Millennials Unhappy With Obama's War on the Young (http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2014/01/21/millennials_unhappy_with_obamas_war_on_the_young__ _121297.html#ixzz2r8UGxl1h)

What do young Americans want? Something different from what they've been getting from the president they voted for by such large margins.

Evidence comes in from various polls. Voters under 30, the millennial generation, produced numbers for Barack Obama 13 percentage points above the national average in 2008 and 9 points above in 2012.

But in recent polls, Obama approval among those under 30 has been higher than the national average by only 1 percentage point (Quinnipiac), 2 points (ABC/Washington Post) and 3 points (YouGov/Economist).

Those differences are statistically significant. And that's politically significant, since a higher percentage of millennials than of the general population are Hispanic or black.

The reasons for Millennials' decreased approval of Obama become clear from a Harvard Institute of Politics poll of 18- to 29-year-olds conducted in November.

That poll shows Obama's job approval dipping to 41 percent, down from 52 percent in April 2013 and the lowest rating in any HIOP survey.

One reason for the decline is....

Michael Barone, the author, is an old fogey like me. I'd rather hear from the Millennials here their thoughts. Well? What do you want? Are you unhappy with Obama, with Bush-Obama?

Maybe they're tired of being out of work, McJobs and living in mom's basement?

Maybe they are finally beginning to make the connection between Barack Obama and the above?

Better late than never.

Right, being lefties for the most part they are too stupid and lazy to take their future into their own hands.

You seem angry. :angel7:

Is it because they don't want to vote for your peeps anymore?

The millenials on here are all doing quite well, Nathan. Business owners and voters. Why some of them even joined the military and fought for imaginary freedoms that don't exist anymore.

In reality they think our form of government is a sham and not worth voting for. Stupid, absolutely.

Obama has done nothing for us. It's good to see such an awakening.

Many of us have survived the regrets of an unwise vote. Thanks to a stupid Constitutional amendment, millenials get to learn of that regret even younger. With luck, they're survive their unwise vote.

I sense they're unhappy with both the Dems and the Reps. Or perhaps I just hope so.

It's of no coincidence that all the problems we face today are the fault of the democrats or republicans.

I don't know anything indepth about all the numbers and stats of his presidency. But I do remember watching him run as a candidate. I was a little young to really understand all the technical stuff, but I still remember he made a lot of promises and lied. One of the worst ones, I think, was when he was running, and told everyone on national TV "Mothers I will have your boys home by Christmas" or something like that. Obviously a huge lie, he had no intention of bringing troops home, though a lot of people probably got their hopes up about that, and voted for him. It was a blatant attempt to use emotion to get votes. But does he have any emotion for all the innocence killed by his drones? No I guess he can just ignore that. Another fake, dime-a-dozen, lying, heart string pulling, puppet-politician.

Let's see what else... Oh ya, and everyone thinks he's such a great speaker yet he needs a teleprompter lol He takes way too many vacations. He even had the nerve to put armed guards for his kids at school after Sandy Hook. Wow where the fuck is my and every other kids protection when we go to school? And I don't trust him (besides the fact that he lies so much) it took him only 3 years to get from senator to president. To me that shows he had to make a lot of under the table deals, with the guys behind the scenes, to rise up in politics so fast. I can't really think of anything good he did, if anyone would like to point it out for me that'd be really great.

I think millennials are unique because their first taste of politics was learning about the patriot act, NDAA, occupying the middle east, and a whole host of shitty shit. Then we expect change from the supposed opposite- Democrats, but all they have are lies, and the same policies. Then Ron Paul comes along making more sense than ever and gets us all excited about freedom. Now we are libertarian :D

And yet all of the under 30 crowd on here are saying the same thing. I didn't even know Guerilla before this website and he feels as I do. Even Chloe who's a progressive is cynical of Washington.

They are not cynical of government because they believe government is too intrusive but not intrusive enough. They are not getting enough free shit. They expected Obama to tax the rich out of existence and that never happened so now they are pissed.

Don't misinterpret their ire. They are spoiled little socialist who want to do less and get more for it.
