I heard from one of my friends who lives in Connecticut that she had donated to Michael Kors founder Jack Orchulli, as he is running for statewide office.

I am wondering if you know more about him, do you think he is a candidate worth supporting?

I found some info here about him: http://www.jackisback.us

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PANwUEA8LMc

I have seen him on TV on occasion and like him, he looks representable, says the right things and his entreprenuerial background is amazing when we look at what is happening in America.

Eh. I don't know who he is. I keep my focus local and within my own state's borders.

All I have to see are the words "strong leadership for you" and I want to run like hell.

Now this guy has to prove to me he's not a snake oil salesman, that's my approach.

Classical "marketing" strategy to cater to the mass ofcourse, however do you not feel that he seems like a genuin person in the way he conduct himself?

i think it's cute that he has his political ops posting on messageboards to get his name out.

the guy used to be an independent til right before he ran against chris dodd and lives in darien, ct.

I don't think a political ops would post to message boards. They probably have better things to do than to try to convince people to support jack through forums.

Chris dodd, I think he ran for president after his time as a Senator, did he not? Do you know what happened when jack ran against chris?

you'd be wrong if you think candidates don't have ops posting.

and if you need further confirmation of that beyond your own common sense when someone signs up on a website and starts posting about a canddate.....

I don't know what he did/does.

Actions mean more to me than words.

I am reading up on him to get a better view on his thoughts and from what I am seeing so far I feel that he is the far best candidate.

I however want to know from others if they have any other "insides" regarding jack, there should be tons of information about him but I am only finding positive stuff. There is almost always dirt on politicians and I want to understand both sides before I make a choice.

Orchulli uses the typical GOPer illogic as he tries to sucker private-sector workers into resenting government workers' benefits rather than demanding their own. Then he adds the usual lie that the wage-slaving corporate parasites would go broke if they offered decent benefits. His plute whining is all about millionaires not being satisfied if they can't become billionaires. But they can pay benefits and still be millionaires, even if that makes them feel disrespected by the richer plutocrats at the Country Club.

Maybe he's one of few politicians that are genuinely nice guys who have good intentions, but you never know :) I havent heard any bad stuff about him yet though..

You don't hear if you refuse to listen, or can't hear because everybody in your cult is screaming "Socialist!" at everybody who is not in your cult.

Oh, come on. There's no way he's not getting paid to shill for Democrats. You can't be THAT partisan that you can't see what is obvious to everyone

He wants to strive for honesty in the government, make it better for the working middle class and lower the taxes :) but ofc, Id also like to know more in detail on how he plans to do those things..

When I encounter one that acts like Cigar, I'll point it out.

In the meantime, lighten up. This is the internet. Don't take things so seriously.

I think he would be a perfect candidate for Connecticut considering his background
