Recent interview on CNN between Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann (MN-6) on Social Security, via The Daily Caller (http://dailycaller.com/2014/01/27/bernie-sanders-michele-bachmann-go-head-to-head-in-excruciating-cnn-interview/).

Personally, I think Michele Bachmann is a total idiot, or at least good at playing an idiot. Sen. Sanders let her speak when it was her turn, but every time he tried to give his position, she kept cutting in and interrupting him. Worse, she cut in with ridiculous bullshit that was more talking points than anything else. Sanders cited statistics and such to support his position, and she just bitched about personal anecdotes.

Socialist vs. Conservative: Socialist wins this one. If the conservative can't carry on a discussion without answering the questions posed and trying to shut down her opponent before he can speak, she can't hope to win.

Bachmann's a wingnut who doesn't even debate. It's a no-brainer.

Bernie Sanders Loses His Cool In Heated Argument With Michele Bachmann (And He’s Right!) It’s not often that Senator Bernie Sanders loses his usually cool demeanor, but that’s exactly what happened on Monday afternoon’s episode of CNN’s The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer.

Once they got going, all the host had to do was get out of the way as these two ideologically opposed lawmakers went at each other’s throats for nearly 13 minutes straight, debating everything from social economic inequality, taxes, and America’s quality-of-life relative to other developed countries.

Time after time, Michele Bachmann came at Bernie Sanders with carefully rehearsed Republican lies and talking points, but the independent senator was absolutely not having it, cutting her off, standing his ground, at dispelling each and everyone of her choreographed lies with the hard dose of truth and facts.

If there was ever a video that displays just how out of touch Republicans, the Tea Party, and their “starlings” such as Michele Bachmann are with the harsh economic reality faced by the American people after the devastating Bush Recession, this is it.

Grow Up Sally ... I never see you chime in on any of the Michelle Obama Threads with any of your Self Righteous bullshit or Supporting Women .

It's a Political Forum ... its littered with metaphors for those who aren't blind to only things they don't want to see.

Sanders is an independent, he doesn't have "party talking points." Ideological talking points, maybe. Regardless, he still does more to further the discussion than she does. She can't go two seconds in the whole debate without butting in and trying to shut Sanders down, and through most of it he's actually pretty polite about it, just saying "Excuse me," and continuing on.

Because I rarely pay attention to the politics of personalities, and Michelle isn't even a politician.

I do remember discussing her boob belts and bangs once though.

I should grow up? LOL

That's just the way politicians talk though, with canned responses. And independent or not, that's all I heard from him. He was just politer, suffering through it.

He did actually attempt to bring up stats and such to bolster his argument, though. In a verbal debate, it's hard to source your claims. If you read his writings, it's very different.

Bachmann didn't even try.

Why the hell is she on CNN?
you can't talk to liberals.
When the libs see this video, they will know she wants dirty air, cut social security and give tax breaks to the rich.
I think I will have a glass of dirty water that I stole from a poor person.

Besides being an attention whore setting up another presidential run? Presumably because they invited her to speak.

That would be impossible  But please tell me you're not going to start defending Bachmann. You're smarter than to associate with people like that. She's on a level with Biden for stupidity
