Wendy Davis Politely And Respectfully Puts Pink Sneaker Up Bristol Palin’s Ass
Here is Wendy Davis calmly and politely calling Bristol Palin a liar. We’ll admit we’re of two minds about this — on the one hand, it might have been better not to respond at all to the griftjunior’s dumb lies, because honestly. There’s definitely something to be said for above-the-fraying it. On the other hand, by god, it’s good to see her not just sit there and take it, to defend herself — though she’s far from defensive, and she doesn’t reply in kind, except to simply say, in reply to a mean line from Bristol’s blog (which Ramos incorrectly calls a “tweet”):

With all due respect to Miss Palin, of course, nothing that was said in that tweet is true … I am very proud of the mother that I have been to my daughters. I have always been and will always be the most important female in their life.”


Now, what we really must focus on here is that Davis clearly doesn’t know blogs from tweets when they’re read to her on teevee. Can we really entrust to her the great state of Texas?

So yeah, while we’re wishy-washy on the whole “above the fray” thing, we’re glad to see her simply reject the whole dopey premise that she “abandoned” her daughters when they were already in high school and college. Guess that makes us American liberals.

Davis also rejected the idea that she has misrepresented her personal story — as if getting help with college from her second husband somehow negated the actual not-having-money before she met him.

“Those allegations are really absurd, Jorge,” she replied. “My life story is my life story. I am a young woman who had lived in poverty for many years before I was able to work and lift myself out of that place, and I know that there are Texans across the state that are facing the same challenges that I once faced.”


On the other hand, huge scandal — she wasn’t really a single mom at 19, because until she was 21 she was only separated, not divorced, which means that her phantom marriage certificate magically made raising two daughters and living in a trailer park a complete breeze. Make a note, folks — you can only call yourself a single parent once the ink is dry on the divorce. And people with reality shows are the ones who really have it hard.

Wendy Davis, who has been in full push back mode since a report in The Dallas Morning News highlighted slight discrepancies in her biography, released detailed letters about their upbringing and relationship with their mother Tuesday, a clear sign that Davis’ campaign is on the defense over the more detailed account of her background.

Davis’s daughter, Dru, wrote that she hated feeling like she needed to write such a letter, “but I have been reading and hearing so many untrue things about my mom and I want to set the record straight.”

“And sadly I feel the need to be crystal clear on the malicious and false charge of abandonment as nothing could be further from the truth,” she wrote. “My mom has always shared equally in the care and custody of my sister and me.”

She was there on my first day of school and my last, and so many days in between,” Davis wrote. “She never missed a school performance or a parent-teacher conference. Amber Davis, Davis’s oldest daughter from her first marriage, also wrote a letter:

“My name is Amber Davis and I am Wendy Davis’ oldest daughter. I have spent the past few days reading the ludicrous comments that people have shared on social media about my mother and our family,” she said. “It is a shame that those who don’t know us feel the need to comment on the details of our lives as if they’ve lived them. I have a hard time understanding how such hate and negativity can result from one person’s false accusations.”

Bristol Palin has some strong words for Wendy Davis.
Writing on her Patheos.com blog, Palin called out the Texas State Senator for greatly exaggerating (http://townhall.com/tipsheet/cortneyobrien/2014/01/20/wendy-davis-exaggerates-success-story-n1781519) her ‘success story’ and criticized liberals who are still supporting her:

I know you would rather think about Wendy Davis, so let’s get back to her. She’s more your type of woman. She left her kid, husband, made it into a false “made-for-tv-movie-type-tale” and then demanded that Texans have the right to kill babies. That’s the woman you libs can really get behind!
Let me be clear. I think it’d be so nice to have a husband take care of me, and my son, so I could attend school. (Any school — let alone, Harvard!)
But the way Wendy Davis did it – by getting married and leaving him as soon as the ink dried on his last check – is downright pathetic.
Palin, who was a teen mom herself, is right to expose Davis’ lies. In another “you go, girl!” moment, she mentioned her mom’s admirable story as an example that having and raising children while working is attainable:

Is everyone paying attention? This woman is the hero of the Left? A woman whose ambition and ego were so big she couldn’t have both a career and kids at the same time.
Gosh, children are sooo inconvenient, huh? I’m glad my mother didn’t put motherhood on the shelf when she was elected to City Council, then became our mayor, then Governor.

There's a well known phenomenon where a man will go to law school and his wife will work to support them, then once he's graduated he divorces her.

And that's bad. Really bad.

But what Wendy Davis did was much, much worse. Her husband actually paid her tuition for law school, and once she graduated, she divorced him.

Wendy Davis is a very evil, manipulative, selfish woman.
