Ken Buck (who is backed by many in the Tea Party) narrowly lost in a 2010 bid to become Colorado's junior senator. It now appears, however, that he may try again in 2014; this time (if he wins the Republican primary), against the sitting Democratic senator, Mark Udall: Tea Party favorite Ken Buck is back for a run at U.S. Senate (http://gazette.com/tea-party-favorite-ken-buck-is-back-for-a-run-at-u.s.-senate/article/1513898)

Comments? (Preferably, something a bit more substantial than a mere attitude as regarding the Tea Party.)

Looks to me like the Democrats will hold onto at least one seat. Retreads generally don't fare so well against incumbents.

So based on your admitted total lack of information, which is based on your apathetic refusal to do any refusal on the issue with a five minute Google research, you make this astute prediction?

Interesting. Where did I admit to a total lack of information, and how do you know I have an "apathetic refusal to do any research on the issue"?

I'm not sure what you want. So, Ken Buck is trying to run again. So, the Gazette is a liberal newspaper. So, Colorado has been flooded with liberal refugees from California. That's life in the West.

From what little I know of Ken Buck, I wouldn't want to vote for him but that's just me.

I lived and worked in a small city near Greeley where Ken Buck was the district attorney. A murder trial, defendant Tim Masters, went terribly wrong and he was appointed as special prosecutor. The two deputy D.A.s who handled the trial both got a severe slap on the wrist from the bar association and nothing from Ken Buck. The two deputy DAs had both become judges and lost their seats on the bench in retention votes shortly after the story broke. Ken Buck did vigorously pursue the lead detective and after totally smearing the guy ended up dropping all charges.

No, I wouldn't vote for him.

Larry Sabato (who is a serious political analyst) places Colorado in the Leans Democratic category: http://www.centerforpolitics.org/cry...4-a-coin-flip/ (http://www.centerforpolitics.org/crystalball/articles/senate-2014-a-coin-flip/)

Still, there are about nine more months until the election; and Leans Democratic is not a very firm assessment...
