How much money does the federal government send to the wrong recipients? In 2012, over $100 billion. My colleague Jason Fichtner and I produced (http://mercatus.org/publication/improper-federal-payments-waste-over-100-billion-2012) this chart, which shows the amount and rates of improper payments from federal transfer programs, using the data from the Office of Management and Budget’s “High-Error Programs Report (http://www.paymentaccuracy.gov/high-priority-programs).”

And the bottom line, exactly what we've been trying to drum into the dense heads of the liberals here:

The reality is that federal spending has grown too massive to be adequately overseen, and the resultant waste, fraud, and abuse squanders public resources and undermines trust in government.

The ObombedItCare debacle would be just a warm up compared to single payer handled by this Federal government. The numbers prove it.

I don't believe those numbers even scratch the surface of the problem. It's amazing how much fraud and theft you don't find if you don't look.

The British experience with the National Health Service is an excellent example of what we'll get but since our system would be much larger our problems would be, too.

And, the Democrats don't care. The political elites will have separate plans and the proles can get along with what the elites give us or die. And, if we die it saves Social Security. For President Obama, Rep. Pelosi, Sen. Reid and the other elites it's a win/win.

Don't forget about the $6.00 per/gallon Gas

Why would anyone expect otherwise?

They can't even get a website off the ground without it turning into a clusterfuck.

Incompetence, inefficiency and arrogance - that's what the Federal government provides with respect to providing for it's citizens. There is no reason to allow the Federal government to do anything other than pass laws, build roads and bridges and kill terrorists.

Our government has gone from inheriently inefficient to simply non-functional. They can't even run themselves much less health care
