South Carolina is glad to have nonunion jobs from BMW, Michelin and Boeing, but don’t expect any factories from Ford, General Motors, Chrysler or other companies with unionized workforces.

According to Gov. Nikki Haley, they’re not welcome.

Haley said Wednesday that she discourages companies from building new facilities in South Carolina if they are planning to bring a union with them.

“It’s not something we want to see happen,” she told the Greenville News following an appearance at an automotive conference in downtown Greenville.

“We discourage any companies that have unions from wanting to come to South Carolina because we don’t want to taint the water.”

Good for them, they didn't sell out to the establishment.

There's a reason South Carolina is a political and economic hotbed.

They're doing it right.

At least they are looking long-term and trying to build a good foundation for jobs in the state.

Cigar is lying again. Well, that's no surprise. Assuming Gov. Haley said anything remotely like not wanting companies to bring organized crime with them, the companies themselves are certainly welcome.

It would probably be a shock to find out that Democrats aren't welcome if they insist on violating various laws as a part of their standard practices.
