Barack Obama is a big spending progressive, and he sure loves him some war. He's just like the rest of the psychotic neocons and liberals.

If it were a Republican president who mouthed that, the silence on this forum would be deafening.

Then you haven't been paying attention. Most of the forum members on the right are just as critical of the establishment GOP as they are of the Dems.

You have noticed that, no?

But never presented as an alternative to Obama, merely the destruction of him, which to the GOP is far more important than cleaning up years of stagnation.

No, around here, plenty of alternatives to Obama have been presented.

Get government out of the way and your stagnation will disappear rapidly.

That's an opinion, not a fact, since it's never been tried by either party.

Who said anything about GOP alternatives to Obamacare? We were talking about a variety of alternatives to Obama.

The GOP doesn't have the votes to get their ideas to the floor of the Senate. They should STFU until after the November elections.

I do believe it was Peter who said the GOP alternative to obamacare is first getting the government out of the way. This was
Ronald Reagan's main theme throughout his 8 year tenure as potus. Although Reagan had to fight tooth and nail against a
democrap congress led by that stubborn Tip O'Neil--he nonetheless did so by producing an unprecedented economic success.
My alternative to obamacare would be first to scrap it in it's entirety and then go back to allowing the insurance companies to
use the good old free market competition as its basis for providing health. Also, its time for the workers to own their very own
personal medical plans where they get to make all the critical financial decisions concerning health issues. We might want to look
into privatizing social security as well. Bottom line.....get fucking big government out of our lives.

One of them is the opposition viewpoint, if only they had one, which is why you are reticent in posting it.

I see. So remove the existing government first and then make plans for the future. Well, I suppose Republicans would be prepared to do anything to remove Obama, even to the extent of voting for the dissolution of the Republic, since they would be prepared to vote for the GOP, even without a manifesto.

No wonder Obama has the drop on your party.

Some of you are a little behind on your reading:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/house-republican-leaders-craft-their-vision-for-an-alternative-to-health-care-law/2014/03/16/b98db274-ab7e-11e3-98f6-8e3c562f9996_story.html

Personally speaking, I would propose that the correct alternative to ObombedItCare is no ObombedItCare. This is not a Constitutionally permitted function of the Federal government. If states want to enact socialized health care, they have the right to do so and their citizens have the right to accept it or vote with their feet.
