Peyton Manning will become the next quarterback of the Denver Broncos, barring a snag during intensified contract negotiations that have commenced under the instruction of the four-time MVP to his agent Tom Condon, according to multiple sources.
Once the Manning deal becomes official, Denver will try to trade Tim Tebow, according to sources.
Manning instructed Condon to negotiate the finite details of a contract that would conclude with him joining the Broncos after a frenzied but focused process that began when the Indianapolis Colts released him March 7.
Manning called Broncos vice president of football operations John Elway on Monday morning to tell him the news. Manning also called the San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans to inform them of his intent to now play for Denver.

I can't help but think Tim Tebow got a raw deal out of all of this. Then again he was never a great QB. Even if the Broncos can only get a couple of good years out of Manning that's probably more than they would have gotten from Tebow.

Oh wow. Well, someone will sign Tebow. It cuold actually turn out to be a huge mistake for Denver. I mean it was his first year.

That's true, Tebow should presumably become a better QB with a summer of practice under his belt. He didn't get that last year. Now he's going to have to learn a new offensive system, new players, new coaches, etc. It might be tough on him, and he'll have to fight for a starting spot whereas Denver before this told him it'd be his job to lose.

I think you should watch what you say about Tebow.

Haha, I think we all know he's not going to be the savior of a franchise, not like JC!

That's true. JC will be back in action come September so that will take some of the spotlight off...well everyone I guess. :cool2:

 I didn't know we had a definite timetable for JC's return. I'm sure he'll be grabbing all the headlines when he comes back
Denver.....eh. Well at least he picked a divisions where there is no Defenses. Looks Like Elway gets to drive Tebow out of town. Like he wanted to in the first place.
Conley

Yep, it's the easiest division to win in, but I still think he would have a better shot at a Super Bowl in SF.
I don't know......I think Jim Harbaugh is way over-rated. I think all saw after 3 years straight of the 49er's having one of the easiest schedules in the league had to do with this years success for Harbaugh.

Maybe so, maybe so. I think Fox in Carolina is good. They had a lot of cap space but not sure if they blew it all on Peyton. They don't have much in the way of WR for him to throw to.
I know that had to be like a bomb dropping on Tebow. Atomic type!

You should be a big Manning fan now MMC. He finally put a stop to Tebowmania!
Tebow ain't so bad. At least he will take a knee for some inspiration while making the sacrifice for the team. Unlike Cutler. Now when JC takes a knee. He is singing, My sacrifice! Meaning he is down and out for the count!

 Someone wake D up, I need a witness! MMC, you hated Tebow during the season. Not as bad as JC, but still... I'm ready for the season to start.
I didn't hate Tebow.....I just didn't go for all that crap about a rookie being great. Nor him making the Pro-bowl. Plus there were worse than Tebow in the league. I didn't give The Fig Newton all that much credit either. Those announcers make them out to be more than what they are. :undecided:
Plus I can't stand when they tell you what someone is thinking.
The only thing bad about Football Season. Is knowing winter is right around the corner.

Myself, I'm looking forward to cheering my adopted Bears into the playoffs.

No.....you are not a Bears Fan, you're just a JC fan.....I would still be rooting for Da Bears. But then I would also be rooting that these would be the last few days of JC running around in a Bears Jersey. Besides what good would it be if Da Bears made the playoffs with Cutler. All know already even if such was the case. We would still be Livin On A Prayer.
JC has to produce this year. He has no more protection within Da Bears organization. Time to shit or get off the pot. With all his good ole boy recievers from Denver now being here in Chicago. He won't have anymore excuses.

We should probably order our Super Bowl tickets now.
We should probably order our Super Bowl tickets now.
They should trade Tebow to the Raiders.....where we they can help Tebow with his image-thingy. Something that will help Tebow stand out. Kinda like putting some bass in that voice.

Then once they got Tebows New Image.....then he need to be taught only one thing.

:laughing4: Thats right.....The Black Hole. Not Obama's Abyss!
Course then with Orton in KC, and Manning in Den, and Tebow making that move. Means the Rivers in SD have to be more than a trickled down creek.

I think this move is going to backfire. They're paying him $96M for five years (not sure how much is guaranteed, they could cut him in a couple of years if things don't work out). He's 36, with a fused neck and still waiting for nerves to regrow. The past few years his QB rating is going down, a few seasons under 100 and he played most games inside under a dome. Denver in the winter with that wind and snow is going to be something he's never experienced before. I'm betting he'll do well but I don't see him winning a SB. Plus they are talking about bringing on other old Colts, like Saturday and Dallas Clark. All these guys are over the hill.

Plus, they will look awfully foolish when tebow takes the Dolphins to the SB.

Manning's old contract the year before sitting out and having neck surgery was 5 yrs / 90 M. This contract is too much.

Yep, this reminds me of when Favre went to the Jets. Of course he did end up somewhat successful with Minny but his time with the Jets was awful.

Now that Tim Tebow's departure from the Denver Broncos is a certainty with the Peyton Manning signing, the next question is -- where does he go? Several teams have been mentioned as possible destinations (http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/kind-team-does-tim-tebow-fit-173217019.html), and many teams have inquired about what it would take to pry Tebow loose.
According to Monica Culpepper, wife of former Florida Gators and NFL player Brad Culpepper, Tebow would prefer to head back home to the Sunshine State, where he did so many great things for those same Gators.
"Brad and I just had dinner with Tim last week and I don't think this comes as a shock or surprise to him that Manning was actually going to go there," Culpepper told 970 WFLA radio in Tampa on Tuesday. (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Tim-Tebow-friend-Monica-Culpepper-says-QB-wants-to-play-in-Florida-032012)
"And in all honesty, Tim said, 'I miss home. I miss the South. And hopefully I'll land somewhere in Florida.'".....snip~
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/tim-tebow-friend-says-wants-head-back-florida-184304892.html
Tebow has gave out a little chirp as to where he wants to go. Looks like he is homesick. Which means he is looking at Jacksonville Jags and or Miami. Although, truly there is no reason why Tampa couldn't go for him.
The one thing that will help Tebow besides recievers being able to hold on to the ball. Is to play for a team with a good running back, then with his running abililty he will be much more effecive as a Rookie.

Why so tender towards Tebow now, MMC?
Conley
03-20-2012, 07:24 PM
MMC has been converted!
Tebow will help sell tickets big time anywhere in Florida. I'd sign him for that reason alone -- all the FL franchises have attendance problems and not exactly stellar qbs.
Mister D
03-20-2012, 07:33 PM
I'm really curious to see how his next two seasons turn out. I remember Eli Manning wasn't all that impressive for his first couple seasons.
Tender????? They say a picture has a 1000 words. Don't get me started.

This might be an upsetting year for you, MMC. What with JC leading the Bears into the NFC Championship and Tebow leading the Dolphins into the AFC Championship. Dayum.
Did they say Tebow was going to Miami? They took Reggie Bush but he didn't amount to much this last year. Seems like some of these running backs and recievers if they feel like they do not have a QB they don't seem to put forth a full effort.
We will see on the JC tip.....so far he always manages to get hurt, when crunch time comes around. Plus we already know that if he gets hurt in the NFC Championship Game and Da Bears manage to win that game. Well then we know what happens next, going into the Superbowl.

We then get to see some more of this!!!!!
