The biggest recipient regions of weapons from United States of America is; Asia 45%; Australia 10%; Europe 18%. United States sells weapons to around 74 countries officially and around 34 countries and organizations unofficially. United States based organizations are one of the biggest arms manufacturing organization in the world.
The biggest recipient countries as per share percentage are: South Korea receives around 13%; Australia receives around 10%; United Arab Emirates receives around 7%. There is absolutely no ambiguity in our mind that US is the biggest contributor and benefactor of the war world is fighting at the moment.....snip~

Probably not a good idea to have all those weapons laying around in Germany.

Seriously, are they stealing weapons off of U.S. bases to sell? What exactly are they exporting?

D, how many WW2 relics are you buying these days?

Oh yeah, well that works for German exports too. Mystery solved.

German arms manufacturers exported weapons worth 2.1 billion euros ($ 2.8 billion) in 2010 - a record turnover in export statistics and a significant increase from 2009. On an international scale, Germany ranked third after the US and Russia last year.

According to the German government, more than half of the revenue was due to the export of three warships to NATO partners: Portugal bought German submarines and parts for warships worth more than 800 million euros; Greece, too, purchased a German submarine.

Warships are at the top of armament manufacturers' export lists - as are handguns, ammunition, military electronics and track vehicles, including the Leopard 2 combat tank, produced by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. Last year, Leopard 2 tanks were sold to Chile, Turkey and Singapor, among other countries. German government plans to sell hundreds of Leopard 2 vehicles to Saudi Arabia triggered a wave of criticism during the summer, with opposition politicians branding the tank deal as the wrong signal to the democracy movement in the Arab world.

Don't worry we jumped up there real quick like. Course once we get all those missile defense shields in those Sunni led countries, we will be running solid at the top of the charts. While patting ourselves on the back and believing we have brought them Democracy whether they like it or not. :undecided:

I can't think of a weapon that is more iconic of post war unrest than the AK-47.

RollingWave

it's a very good gun for the need, relatively easy to use, insanely durable and reliable, and packs a pretty heavy punch.

Also, Russia nowadays always sell their weapons, the US in some cases give them away for free IIRC, a lot of the US equipment in Israel for example, and IIRC they gave some for free to Greece too (god knows why, then again the greeks probably woulda default on their payment anyway  )

The AK is a great weapon for an army where you can't depend upon your troops to take lots of time to maintain their weapons.

Not to mention the point of the natural sight on the AK.

Mister D

Yes, I've heard the AK is very reliable and easily maintained. It looks cool too.
