Teams that have discussed a trade for quarterback Tim Tebow, either internally or with the Denver Broncos, include the Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

While one league source says the Dolphins are not likely to deal for Tebow, two sources told ESPNNewYork.com's Rich Cimini on Tuesday night the Jets' interest in Tebow has intensified.

The Jets, who a league source originally categorized as "a long shot at best," are concerned about the negative perception of its locker room. The Jets were divided by player unrest last season, and "bringing in a guy like (Tebow) would help," one source told Cimini. "It makes perfect sense."

Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum refused to comment Monday when asked about Tebow on "The Michael Kay Show" on ESPN1050 in New York.

They're hoping Tebow can convert that toxic locker room into peace, love, and touchdowns. I don't know if it's in his power?!

I'd like to see him try. Send that pretty boy anchez out to pasture. Let's get some faith and hope up in NY!

 As bad as Tebow is throwing the ball, there are some Sundays where Sanchez doesn't look any better. Add in Tebow's running ability and you've got yourself a quarterback competition!

That team really needs more cohesion. I think Tebow could bring it.

Tim Tebow to the Jets for a fourth-round pickAfter the Denver Broncos signed Peyton Manning, quarterback Tim Tebow needed a new home. He's found it. Tebow and a seventh-rounder have been shipped to the New York Jets (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-jets-tebow) for a fourth-round and a sixth-round draft pick. All picks are for 2012.

This move really does not make a ton of sense on any number of levels, but the most disturbing part of it is how it displays the Jets really do not have any sort of structured plan on building their franchise.
They hire Tony Sparano to try and go ground and pound. They give their quarterback, whose value is diminished by Sparano's philosophy, one of the richest contracts in the sport and decide to commit to him for two years. Now they trade for another quarterback for whom a large segment of the fan base and media will be calling to start immediately.....snip~

Holy cluster...the Jets are a trainwreck. I can't believe they made this move and I can't believe Denver got as little as they did for him. They must have wanted to get rid of Tebow ASAP. Sanchez is going to melt down. Wow.

Man I can't wait for the season. The Jets will have more drama than the Kardashians (sp?).

Sanchez will start, suck, and the fans will immediately be clamoring for Tebow. Plus without improving the Jets run game or wide receivers it's going to be even tougher for GQ to look good. At least Tebow can run it himself.

He might catch some flak in NY if he does poorly though.

Uh-oh, problems for Tebow in NY already:

After word spread rapidly Wednesday that the New York Jets had acquired quarterback Tim Tebow from Denver for draft picks, the teams have encountered a hang-up in the language in Tebow's contract that could nullify the trade, a Broncos source tells ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

Tebow has about $5 million worth of recapture language in his contract, meaning the Jets would have to pay back some money to Denver, and the Jets might be unwilling to do that.

The trade, then, is not finalized.

They are so dysfunctional. They just gave Sanchez a nice fat extension with good money. Now they're screwing with his head.

True, they are a cluster that starts from the top and works its way down into the locker room.

They should dump Rex and GQ, then let Tebow be a player-coach like Pete Rose back in the day.

That's what Coonlevy would do! :yo2:
