President Barack Obama delivered a fiery speech against Republicans on Friday, charging that the GOP is threatening voting rights in America.

Appearing at Al Sharpton's National Action Network conference, Obama cited a 2006 DOJ analysis showing that out of 197,000,000 votes cast for federal elections between 2002 and 2005, only 40 voters were indicted for fraud.

"For those of you who are math majors, that is a percentage that is 0.00002 percent," Obama said, drawing cheers from the crowd.

Obama then pointed to who he considers to be the real perpetrators: the people behind these "bogus" claims.

"Let's be clear," Obama said. "The real voter fraud is people who try to deny our rights by making bogus arguments about voter fraud."

I think absentee ballots are where the voter fraud really is, but I also think people who bitch about not being able to get ID when they have a year or more to get it probably ought to rethink a few things, like how much do they want to vote?

The real fraud is stupid people like you, Cigar, who are in denial about how easy it is to game voter rolls that are loaded with errors and dead people.

One hundred countries around the world require voter ID. Mexico has a system so simple and thorough you should be embarrassed to have it on your southern border, making a mockery of your assinine arguments against it. You are made to look stupid by a nation of largely uneducated poor people who vote in greater numbers and know that no one can vote in their stead.

There's only one reason to opposed voter ID--so you and your scummy friends can continue to stuff ballot boxes and steal close elections.

Do us all a favor and drop dead, you little thief.

Losing by 4.9 MILLION ... now that's a lot of tricky business that didn't get caught or the people who are looking for tricky business is too stupid to see the obvious.

Well, he is bad for sure, but a thief?

Cigar is a propagandist. The Democrat party is the master of propaganda. They have turned the art form made popular by Goebbels into a work of true art.

Anybody who studies this issue won't claim voters are so stupid they can't get ID to do as the FEDS make them do just to get Medicare and Social Security. Voting is vital. So why is it fine to make you prove you are a citizen to get SS and benefits yet you can be an illegal and still have the right to vote?

Hell, the dead vote in some areas controlled by Democrats. I would love to find out how they manage to vote for the dead??????

As 2012 turnout battle brews, Justice Dept. eyes voter ID laws

By Tom Curry, msnbc.com National Affairs Writer

In fact, after enactment of Indiana’s strict photo identification law in 2006 and Georgia’s in 2007, voter turnout went up – not down.

In Georgia, where voters indicate their race or ethnicity on voter registration forms, the number of African-American voters in the 2008 election increased by more than 40 percent over the 2004 election.

One could argue that was only because Obama was on the 2008 ballot and the Obama campaign had made extraordinary turnout efforts.

But compare two elections in which Obama wasn’t on the ballot, the 2010 midterm congressional elections with the 2006 midterms, which took place before the photo ID laws were in effect.

In Indiana, turnout was 22 percent higher in 2010, after photo ID, than in 2006.

In Georgia, total turnout in the 2010 midterms was 19 percent higher than in 2006.

And 44 percent more African-American voters cast ballots in the 2010 midterms in Georgia than in 2006.

The North Carolina State Board of Elections has found thousands of instances of voter fraud in the state, thanks to a 28-state crosscheck of voter rolls. Initial findings (http://philberger.com/news/entry/tillis-berger-issue-joint-statement-on-newly-discovered-alarming-evidence-of-voter-error-and-fraud) suggest widespread election fraud.

** 765 voters with an exact match of first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in N.C. and the other state in the 2012 general election.
** 35,750 voters with the same first and last name and DOB were registered in N.C. and another state and voted in both states in the 2012 general election.
** 155,692 voters with the same first and last name, DOB and last four digits of SSN were registered in N.C. and another state – and the latest date of registration or voter activity did not take place within N.C.

22 states are now using the crosscheck system and most have discovered thousands of double voter registrations. All states should be required to run this check and purge the rolls of falsified registrations, illegal, and the dead. Voter ID MUST happen if we are to retain any semblance of a truly valid voting system.
