Obama Care............You might as well have Michael Jackson's personal physician tuck you in at night - Dennis Miller
I've got it. If you don't mind your doctor being stiffed out of 40 percent of his fees, you will love it. But will the doctor love you back?

Sigh. Another day, another grim Obamacare update (https://danieljmitchell.wordpress.com/2014/03/28/the-multi-faceted-farce-of-obamacare/).
Actually, we have two updates on the never-ending disaster (https://danieljmitchell.wordpress.com/2014/04/17/more-obamacare-failure/) of government-run healthcare.
Our first story comes from the Washington Times, which reports (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/apr/29/obamacare-website-fix-will-cost-feds-121-million/) that the company hired to fix the failed Obamacare website is way behind schedule and way over budget.
Fixing the Obamacare website to get it ready to handle a second round of enrollments will cost the federal government $121 million… The deal, which Accenture announced on its website Tuesday, costs more than the $93.7 million it took to build HealthCare.gov in the first place. It’s also $30 million more than the government projected for fixes just a few months ago… “There doesn’t seem to be a light at the end of the tunnel for Obamacare website expenses,” said House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell E. Issa, California Republican.
And the story also notes that the White House has been unable to trick sufficient numbers of young people (https://danieljmitchell.wordpress.com/2013/08/30/a-funny-look-at-how-obamacare-screws-young-people/) into overpaying for healthcare. That’s very bad news for the insurance companies that put their trust in government.
In addition, just 25 percent of enrollees were between the ages of 18 and 34, according to the report. The administration had been aiming for roughly 40 percent of enrollees to come from this younger demographic to help offset the cost of providing coverage to older and sicker participants.

Obamacare was/is the invention of the right. It was born in the Heritage Foundation in the early 1990′s as an alternative to single payer, should the establishment ever be threatened by single payer. the Republicans introduced it as a bill in 1993. Bob Dole ran on Obamacare in 1996 and Mitt enacted it in Mass. in the early 2000′s.

When will the left figure out that this program was not wanted by a majority of the country? And yet they still felt the need to force it on us, warts and all.

You're saying the dems and Obama, with full control of the government, were too stupid to come up with their own plan so they adopted a heritage foundation idea that was rejected by the right everywhere but liberal massachusetts? Is that your example of competent liberal governance? Lol.

You should be ashamed of yourself, Nic. Not only is the cartoon totally devoid of humor but it's making fun of a developmentally disabled American. Tell me Nic, which part of Obamacare targets children with preexisting conditions? Is it the part Sen. Harry Reid was referring to when he said liberals don't care about kids with cancer? To save time, there is no part of Obamacare that targets kids with preexisting conditions. It guarantees everyone who is uninsured and have a chronic health problem that they can buy insurance, perhaps with someone else paying the premium, and other people will pay for their preexisting condition. It's called, rewarding self-centered, selfish, irresponsible people or, more succinctly, liberals.
I do love the liberal logic that people are "kids" until they're twenty-six but can vote as "adults" at eighteen. That part is fun.
I don't know why Obamacare didn't say that everyone with a job has to buy insurance for themselves, their family and one other family of someone who has been freed of the burden of working. That's what Rep. Pelosi brags that Obamacare does.
Socialists really are humor impaired. That's why they think Bill Maher calling Gov. Palin a **** is so funny.
"Progressives are for singlepayer, liberals are for the public option, conservatives gave us Romney, er I mean Obamacare.... "
And, you lie. The Democrats had the House, the Senate, the Presidency and you blame Republicans for Obamacare. You are a liar. The communists wanted single-payer but they knew Americans wouldn't stand for it so they came up with Obamacare, which is designed to fail so they could, having successfully destroyed healthcare, go for single-payer but the poor bastards couldn't even more a web site for people to sign up.
They had no choice but to cover pre-existing conditions since many people would be rushing to their doctor to be diagnosed with a condition which would exempt them from this law of extortion from the masses.

Which means that Obamacare is no longer and insurance policy but simply another tax payer funded entitlement.

Right. Try to get homeowners insurance after a fire starts in your home.

Maybe Obama will propose that next?
Alternatives to Obamacare or Hilarycare or Romneycare or any collusion between government, big medicine and big pharma and big insurance.
