And what do you think the chances are the U.S. President or the U.S. senators would be taxed on their perks? Somewhere between slim and none. When I worked for a city government we were in the midst of our 7th Annual Budget Crisis and talking about cutting out coffee in the coffee room and making all sorts of draconian cuts at the clerical level. Of course the members of what was called the A-Team, had cars, liquor accounts, "business" trips with their wives and children, special pension accounts, and other perks. When I suggested we look at those I was told I could leave the meeting.
