I make quite a bit but my take home is worse. My retirement is great which is why the 1%'ers are happy. It isn't likely that people’s money is going further on average. Mine doesn't but I don't suffer. Everything costs much more, hence the explosion in government assistance that isn't going down.

BTW I think this is going to be the defining question no matter who is running. Democrats are gonna have issues with the masses on this issue.

Our continued deficit spending and fiat currency printing will ensure that everyone who has saved US dollars will be worse off as time passes.

No, my take home was over 4000 less last year compared to the year before.

First time my take home has decreased, not increased.

Apparently the 1%ers and Progressives are better off. Wonderful, isn't it, how Obama guts the middle and lowers classes to enrich the rich.

I am making more money today than I was in 2009 but my investments are worse off and not growing. Food is higher by far. Gasoline is more than double was it was in 2008 (Gas last week was $3.65 per gallon national. Gas on December 31, 2008 was $1.59 per gallon national according to the DOE fuel charts). My savings accounts are only paying about 1 percent today, not enough to worry about. My tax bill is much higher, my electric bills are higher, even my newspaper is up 35 percent.

No, I am worse off than I was in 2008

I was once told by a progressive that the middle class is expendable. All progress, according to him, is made by either the lower classes or the upper classes. He may have been right.

Yes, we certainly wouldn't have wanted anyone who would have put America first and actively worked at reducing our spending. Couldn't have that now could we?

Certainly you could have.

All that has to be done is candidates have to make salient arguements to a majority of the American people that they in fact have...the best interest of the American people; and have a credible and workable plan.

Really??? They don't actually need to have a plan? All they need to do to be great for America is convince us they are great for America???????????????????????????

Hot Damn, and all this time I thought they actually should be doing something productive. Silly me.

Having a plan means what?

Does having a plan accomplish the task? Whether a candidate communicates a plan[salient argument] to the American people or has "The Plan" written down and stuffed in his pocket...what is the difference?

What is your point...to agrgue?
