Which one was the Senator?

Because the guy close to the edge was the one almost hit.

Actually no one was "almost hit". Everyone was mostly behind the yellow line.

Looks more like a sign almost blew over, not someone was almost hit. Pretty stupid, regardless.

Suppose that train was going at over 250 mph. Think he would have been pulled towards the train?

This reminds me. I have traveled by train. Days and days on the train.

Who the hell wants to go 250 mph?

I prefer that fast, I am in an airplane.

Still, my dumb ass state is creating a super fast train out in the middle of nowhere. No doubt there to try to stop people from protesting. Wait till they try to route that into SF. Give me a break.

See that thick thick thick yellow line the Dummie was standing in? That's there painted for you along with directions to stay behind the yellow line! Guess he ain't good at following directions.

Ha ha ha ha... I too noticed that very wide yellow line.

The train probably was hitting 60 mph so he was safe.

When I was a young man we were hiking in Patasco State Park in Maryland. The B&O Railroad had a line running through the park and into a tunnel. I was told the line was no longer used but the rail heads were shiny so I was skeptical. Anyway, we started though the tunnel and lo and behold when we were about half way through a freight train came through the tunnel. I would estimate its speed around 30 mph. I flattened myself against the wall of the tunnel along with the young lady I was with. The look on the faces of the train crew was pure horror because they were sure we were run over. I had to grip the wall because of the suction from the train. I threw rocks at the guy who told me the line was abandoned!!

So being hit or even grazed by a train going 60 mph wouldn't be bad?

I just thought it was ironic that they were making a speech about how safety was a top priority.
