Katie wrote earlier (http://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiepavlich/2014/04/30/free-fall-gdp-plummets-to-01-percent-n1831541) today about how the United State's GDP grew at .1 percent, compared to estimates of 1.1 percent growth.
The White House's official report (http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/2014/04/30/advance-estimate-gdp-first-quarter-2014) blamed "unusually severe" weather for the startlingly-low increase in GDP, noting that there had been record cold temperatures and intense snowstorms.

Curiously, the severe winter weather did not have a similar economic effect on our neighbor to the north, Canada. Canada's GDP grew by 2.5 percent, exactly what was forecast. Several Canadian cities experienced their coldest and snowiest (http://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/this-winter-is-miserable-meteorologists-have-confirmed-it-1.1707717) winters in decades.

That sounds about right for "President Stompy-Foot". He has an excuse for everything.

Hey, look at the bright side, he didn't blame Bush.

We'll have to wait for our duo of geniuses, Ravi and Junie, to do that.

There won't be too many new jobs created with growth like that. But that won't prevent the White House from claiming that they were created.

Canada has the infrastructure to cope with it. Many US states do not.

With the midterm elections coming up he's reluctant to blame Americans...again.

Unemployment applications up 14,000 this morning. Nice recovery, eh?

People can't even find Obama McJobs. I know, let's artificially raise the cost of hiring people some more and put another million out of work.

Hey, they can become bag porters hauling the Obamas' luggage around during one of their many vacations on our nickel.

Scum!

Please, the hard-working Barack Obama thinks a 30-hour work week is full-time. The man the press puffed as a genius isn't particularly bright and has no relevant experience to fall back on. His peak as a worker was working at Baskin-Robbins and stealing from the store.

You're not at European levels yet, but you're getting there. White police cause black crime, racism produces obesity and the weather a continuing recession. Not bad for socialist amateurs.
