In spite of all the positive press the president and his Affordable Care Act – Obamacare – are getting in current times, the Washington Post-ABC News poll contradicts those media reports. Only 37 percent of the American voters polled said they actually approve of how Obama is handling the implementation of his heath care program. It is alleged that the number of signups to Obamacare do not equate to acceptance of the program, as reports tend to forget – or choose not to mention - that Obamacare is a requirement, a law, that comes with monetary punishments if not followed.
One’s choosing to follow a law to avoid punishment obviously does not mean a person approves of it. Much like a tax law, which Supreme Court Justice John Roberts said Obamacare is – when he made the ultimate decision that Obamacare is the law of the land. Finally, Americans give Obama the lowest rating in the poll when it comes to the president’s handling of foreign affairs in Ukraine and Russia. Only 34 percent of persons approve of Obama’s handling of the world’s current foreign affairs.
