Hi all,

I don't know how many of you have been keeping an eye on Jack Abramoff, the powerful former lobbyist and convicted felon - but he's making huge waves by giving the public an insider's look at Washington DC and the role lobbying plays there. There's a new interview with him on the It's Rainmaking Time podcast if anyone's interested - here's the link (http://itsrainmakingtime.com/2012/jackabramoff).

What do you think about Jack? I'm conflicted, personally. He's done some things that make my stomach turn, but I'm certainly grateful for what he's doing now, whatever his reasons may be.

His reasons? He needs the money.

The man has no soul. The fact that his soullessness can finally benefit the appropriate side of ethics is something I'm happy about. Much like Frank Abagnale working for the government, hackers and cheats getting jobs with software developers and casinos.

The question is, is he telling the truth about D.C. and how it works?

After living there 17 years, I would say definitely yes. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while and Abramoff has exposed a bag of them. A good example of the effectiveness of setting a thief to catch a thief. Or in this case, a whole gang of thieves.

He may be an unsavory character but there's no denying he was in a position to know what he's talking about on this topic. Not that I think it will make any difference to the bipartisan screwing job the U.S. is getting from its government these days.
