Remember back when all the chicken little's cried dire predictions of doom over the sequester--yes, the sequester proposed by Obama as compromise to raising the debt ceiling, the sequester that would reduce by a fraction of a percent not existing spending but the rate of spending increases?

Sequester’s Impact: One Job Lost, $85 Billion Saved (http://www.ntu.org/governmentbytes/sequesters-impact-one-job.html)

Remember all of the doomsday predictions about last year’s compulsory spending cuts better known as the sequester? Many claimed this “draconian” measure would lead to economic catastrophe, as thousands upon thousands of federal employees would be fired and the government’s operations would come to a screeching halt. In fact, one study by Goldman Sachs predicted “declines in federal employment by around 100k over the next few quarters.”

In contrast, NTU argued repeatedly that these concerns were overblown and that the bloated federal government could find plenty of ways to absorb the sequester’s modest trims.

The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) has just released a study that sheds light on the actual impact of sequestration, which cut 2013 expenditures by $85 billion.

The total number of federal job losses that occurred: one....

Just another example of the heartless and senseless assholes managed by corporate money and 'taxes are bad ideology. The sequester hurt the needy and the poor, it hurt children and it hurt opportunity and learning for those in need. This kind of BS about one job lost is why the American electorate has lost any sense of reality and any sense of compassion for those who don't live high on the hog. America has become a dumb and heartless place where absolute crap is believed and repeated.

I forgot to add one thing to the OP, the government never actually implemented any sequestration, Obama and company reneged on the compromise before it happened.

That is funny. No, he can't do better than MSNBC. It is typical liberal talking points and bullshit from a leftist propaganda site. Midcan, give Chris Mathews a hug for me.

Midcan: "America has become a dumb and heartless place where absolute crap is believed and repeated." Only by you, Midcan, only by you.

As hard as Barack Obama and the other assholes worked at it, Americans were not hurt or inconvenienced.

Just to focus on one part of that screed, if the government continues with its deficit spending, all of those people you care about are really going to be screwed when the dollar collapses. What is wrong with you people? No math education?
