Read and weep people. Welfare isn't for the poor, it's for big business.

Right. Without food stamps poor people wouldn't buy food or eat.

Food stamps are a great racket for price gouging convenience stores.

Follow the money and see who is lobbying the hardest for the program.

This ain't rocket science, folks.

Oh, and Cigar, this is a thread you want to hide from. From FRED:

Didn't read the link yet, just the title, and this is something I've been saying for a while, that welfare goes to buy the very stables the big food companies sell. War isn't the only racket.

There is no way to stop any of this because both parties, all the biggest businesses and banks, and all the largest media corporations are in on the conspiracy to grow the government and enlarge the debt, and end freedom.

Yep, the best government money can buy.

Can always hope it spends itself to death.

It’s why the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Business pays tax, the government redistribute that loss to them in food stamps and those food stamps go back as company profits. You get your tax back, supply and demand stay the same and it all carries on as usual. Don’t people yet know what socialism is? There seems to be a sort of bewilderment about it all.

Actually it's why the middle class is getting poorer. The rich we know are getting richer. So where could the wealth come from but the middle class.

And that strong middle class has just got to go!

Not just the middle class, the workers too are getting poorer, it’s just hitting those who earn more the hardest. Soon the middle class will be the working class; all nicely dumbed down to a level progressivism can deal with.

Why is everyone still writing if it's all hopeless?

Me, I just put forward my predictions for the future. Some say Capitalism will collapse and we’ll have a Mad Max society. Others say the meek will all come together and inherit the earth. I see progressivism; a huge welfare State run by the elite; or someone presses the button and we go back five hundred years and start all over again. Just different opinions.

But, Refugee, how can you have different futures when the power structure is a monolithic conspiracy?

I agree in a way.

I assumed that Tony Abbott would try to push welfare cards similar to the food stamp cards USA has. See Australians would be insulted if they had to use 'food stamps' like Americans used to. Australians would not want people on welfare to be shamed at a supermarket by them having to pay with a 'food stamp card'. But Abbott is conservative and I thought he might go for it. The main reason I thought he may try it was to tie welfare payments to big business supermarkets. Two corporations monopolize the Australian grocery market and I thought the card would be linked to them.

In Australia you get a payment put into your account once a fortnight if you are on welfare and you get free healthcare and free training/education until you find something to do. And it is not temporary. People can be on welfare for decades.

But yeah, Australians would not want 'food stamp cards for people on welfare'. They are unAustralian.

I agree that 'food stamps' would help big business.

There is only one future, we just don’t know what it will be yet, hence the predictions. I take historical perspectives and ideological approaches to my predictions, others differ.

There is no conspiracy, the power structure is real and the elite are real. The bankers, corporations and political elite rule the west and in fact most of the world.
