I had to figure out how to use this by looking at how others did it; clearly, merely wrapping the tags around a name won't include that person's number in the tag. So, is there a better way to do this than visiting the person's profile to get their number and manually adding it to the tag, or is that how everyone does it?

@ sometimes fails, then you need to look up user id and wrap.

You're id is 1129, from your profile:

So you wrap like this:

I find that annoying as hell. Anyway to block it? (Since we are on the subject)

Not to my knowledge, sachem ;)

Sorry, couldn't resist  In all seriousness, I don't have a problem with it. Only person that annoys me with it is Bob, but that's only because he mentions me every other post. I had 8 notifications one day that were all mentions from Bob.

I don't think so. I tend to just thank someone if I want to get their attention (such as to read my response to them). Not sure if people prefer that to the @ feature.

Thanks, yes, that's how I was doing it. At first I tried doing @Username, but it didn't appear to work when I previewed my post. I guess that's normal.

Not sure if people prefer that to the @ feature. The 'thanks and/or reputation' I don't mind so much now that I am used to them. The mention is just distracting. Thanks for replying.
