I stopped going to McDonalds years ago. I now make my own. What’s your most misleading advert?

I used to ask for and pay for this and when I opened it I just wanted to throw it away! (Burger King is even worse).

What’s your most misleading advert?

"Red Bull gives you wings." (My coworker drank 13 of them in an hour and a half trying to get a pair of wings.)

We're thinking about suing them.

I have only seen one honest advertizement. And it was in Bangkok.

When I was a small child, I believed that if only I put on a Superman cape, I could jump out the window and take flight. (Well, it did work for Steve Reeves.)

Fortunately, my parents saw to it that I did not attempt this.

I do hope that your coworker did not attempt it, either.

That’s downright misleading. Were they suppose to come with the can or did you have to collect the ring pulls to apply for them?

Not sure but it sure feels like the "Truth in Advertising Law" got secretly repealed

I'm on record for saying this a couple times, in fact I go as far as stating that advertising is basically a lie.

Yep, Obama should definitely be prosecuted under the Trades and Descriptions Act.

The mission was accomplished at that point.

Then the NEOCONs changed the mission to occupation. That is where things went south.

"In the Battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed."

We did. We destroyed the Iraqi army, captured the jewel of the Middle East (Baghdad) and shamed every Arab on earth.

Had we not had a nation building fetish we would never have occupied the place and Bush would be thought of as brilliant military tactician.

The ads for McDonald's and Wendy's hamburgers used to look like their ads 30 years ago when you purchased them. Today, their food isn't even close to the pictures in their ads. i won't eat there anymore.

Good move. If I am traveling and really hungry - to were I feel sick - I will get a hamburger from McDonalds. That is it. It will hold me over until I can find real food. I did that 3 times last year. And none so far this year.

The Madison Avenue creeps should all be strung up. These bastards are responsible for just about everything that has gone wrong in this country.

Both are cheap sandwiches. You get what you pay for.

Nations in my city is a small chain and once was best here. They too have cut down quality I am afraid.

Some of this depends on a person's needs in a sandwich.

Calories or taste?

Some have just calories.

I seldom buy from fast food chains due to my ability to make a better quality burger on my own than at the fast food chains.

We can get great hamburgers but only if one is willing to pay much more than at McDonalds.

The best hamburgers in town, where I reside, are at a little redneck joint, whose air is filled with smoke so thick that it could almost be cut with a knife. But one does not have to eat there. In fact, a hamburger (or cheeseburger) to go is a very good option, in my opinion.
