Former Republican Senate Majority Leader Howard Baker has died

He was 88.

Baker, a longtime senator from Tennessee who served as chief of staff to President Ronald Reagan from 1987 to 1988.



In 1973, Baker rose to national prominence as the vice chairman of the Senate Watergate Committee.

He famously asked during the proceedings "What did the president know, and when did he know it?"

Later in his career, he was a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 1980.

He served as the U.S. ambassador to Japan under President George W. Bush.

Actually I think that he is more of a roll model for Democrats.

Pick a Scandal and ask the famous question?

What did the President Know and when did he know it? And Obama would be forced to leave office!

Senator Baker was a man that put right and wrong before party politics and it is sad to see a great man go!

Why would the Republicans be talking to a bunch of Democrats? The Klan has always been a bunch of Democrats?
