For the most part, not at all. The weakening field might make for spotty cell reception. The flipped poles will be kind of weird, since any compass made before the flip will point south, instead of north.

"They" say its happened many times in the past. The last one was ~800,000 years ago.

If it happened now it would be a pain in the ass for awhile but it would make a lot of map makers rich.

Losing the magnetic "shield" would be a whole other matter. We sure wouldn't be worrying about global warming. Its going to happen sometime. Hopefully we will have been able to travel to other planets or figure out a way to make our own mag shield.
