I forgot to mention the digital camera, sorry. I was supposed to remind my friend. In any case, he said his daughter brought it to Germany so he didn't have one available anyway. His family left last weekend hence his freedom to get drunk in Gettysburg. He'll join them next week. His wife is German.

The sun was brutal so I got sunburned but it was fun. I've been there several times now so the real attraction for me was just getting away. I took a bus tour with a guide which was cool but (thankfully) I didn't buy anything other than a Jefferson Davis mug. There was a set of two letters regarding runaway slaves at the Horse Soldier which is an antique shop on Steinwehr Ave. That's where I got that local newspaper with an article on Custer's Last Stand. They were asking a too much for them so I balked.

The Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and the Visitor Center are brand new but apparently the old Cyclorama building is an empty shell that they are not allowed to tear down just yet. Some kind of environmental thing according to our tour guide. There is a lawsuit that I'm told won't be resolved for a couple years. The museum, IMHO, is top notch and is the largest Civil War museum in the country. It may even be the largest military museum period. It's larger than the museum at West Point.

It's a nice place although I must say it's not very female oriented in my opinion. Great for the kids and great for guys who are into history but I just don't see your average female genuinely enjoying it. As my buddy put it, they show "diplomatic interest". ;) ;D

Yeah but he did get to star with some Gorgeous Women in What Women Want.....who knows you might even surprise me, when I gets back. Mebbe even have a couple of pics or videos of pics of those fine ass women he starred with in that movie down in the Gorgeous Woman Thread. No I aint telling ya the names neither...... :D
