A Centrist party political candidate is exactly what this country needs to undue all of the corruption occurring in government today.

“The Centrist Party is opposed to the 'undue' influence of special interest groups in the making of public policy. Separating undue influence of political campaigns and politicians is an important goal of the Centrist Party”

“Centrism is about achieving common sense solutions that fit current needs; ensure the public trust; serve the common good, and address (http://uscentrist.org/about/overview) short and long term needs. Fiscal and social responsibility balanced with personal responsibility and capacity tied to performance and progress. “

“The Centrist Party supports candidates and public policies that enable (http://uscentrist.org/about/overview) the development of free enterprise, limited government and individual liberty, while protecting the common good, well being and the economy of the public at large. “

Greed and the desire to control the masses to serve their own interests will prevent a centrist candidate from ever running successfully in today’s environment.

So it really doesn’t matter if you vote Republican or Democratic for both parties are corrupt. People need to wake up and get that and realize that the past representatives of both parties are entirely different then it is today.

Until the structure of how our politicians obtain funding to get elected is changed and free of corruption, the masses will continue to suffer the consequences of government control from self serving interests of politicians..

When the center has shifted as far to the left as it has in the U.S., more centrism isn't a solution to anything.

It is either rollback or collapse. Nothing less will address the core deficit problem which is TOO MUCH SPENDING, TOO MUCH GOVERNMENT.

A centrist will just keep kicking the can down the road until it falls off a cliff.

Period.

The last real centrist was Dwight Eisenhower, BTW. If government had continued on in that mode, we wouldn't be haviing this discussion today.

I do not believe we have ever had a true Centrist in government.

What would a centrist position on government spending be?
