Ok, I go to church occasionally, was actually baptised at birth but not exactly a huge follower, and generally frown on organized religion (but not religion). but some aspect of Christanity often puzzle me.

For one thing, there is a lot of the talk both in the ten commendment and from Jesus and other part of the bible that says something in effect to that one should not worship icons , it's especially specific in the ten commendements.

And hell this part was adopted by Islam too.

But isn't the cross an Icon? aren't most churched filled with Visions of Jesus and Mary? how is that suppose to be in line with this ? Islam actually follow this part through a lot more, as they typically have no image in mosques.

Anyone have a good explaination on this ?

The cross represents Him dying and then rising. We don't worship the cross. He was talking about worshiping idols. No none of mine have visions of Jesus and Mary. To me a Church is not a building but His people.
I am not young and what I say is just words. It's up to you to find the answers you seek. But yes, Jesus owns my soul.
