Russia in violation of 1987 missile treaty, White House says
By Ben Wolfgang - The Washington Times Monday, July 28, 2014
In what could lead to further deterioration of the U.S.-Russia relationship, the White House said Monday that Moscow stands in violation of a 1987 treaty prohibiting the possession, production or use of intermediate-range cruise missiles.
According to an administration official, Russia is not compliant with the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, signed by President Reagan and former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev. Russia reportedly violated the treaty by testing a long-range ground-based cruise missile.

I guess Valdie really doesn't care what Obama wants, demands or not. I think this is Putin's way of telling Obama he's a "Petookh opooscheny".

OBAMA: Governor Romney, I'm glad that you recognize that Al Qaida is a threat, because a few months ago when you were asked what's the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia, not Al Qaida; you said Russia, in the 1980s, they're now calling to ask for their foreign policy back because, you know, the Cold War's been over for 20 years.
You indicated that we shouldn't be passing nuclear treaties with Russia despite the fact that 71 senators, Democrats and Republicans, voted for it.
ROMNEY: Excuse me. It's a geopolitical foe, and I said in the same -- in the same paragraph I said, and Iran is the greatest national security threat we face. Russia does continue to battle us in the U.N. time and time again. I have clear eyes on this. I'm not going to wear rose-colored glasses when it comes to Russia, or Mr. Putin. And I'm certainly not going to say to him, I'll give you more flexibility after the election. After the election, he'll get more backbone. Number two, with regards to Iraq, you and I agreed I believe that there should be a status of forces agreement.

Maybe Obama's rose colored choom glasses are fogged up? Al Qaeda hasn't shot down any airliners from 30,000 feet yet. Al Qaeda isn't testing long range ground based cruise missiles yet. Could Obama have been MORE wrong? What good are nuclear treaties Mr. President? Putin just violated one, so what are you going to do about it? Tell him to stop.....or....you'll tell him stop again? I'm surprised Chairman Mao pants suit or Herman Kerry didn't warn him about that.
The Obama-Biden Plan
Barack Obama and Joe Biden will renew America’s security and standing in the world through a new era of American leadership. The Obama-Biden foreign policy will end the war in Iraq responsibly, finish the fight against the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, secure nuclear weapons and loose nuclear materials from terrorists, and renew American diplomacy to support strong alliances and to seek a lasting peace in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

They're looking 0 for 4 on that plan. Clinton was successful because he had an all Republican controlled Congress who did it FOR him while he "mentored" interns. Seems to me we need to do the same with Obama. Remember that in November.
