View Full Version : Bad News for Wing Nuts: House panel: No administration wrongdoing in Benghazi attack
Cigar

The House Intelligence Committee, led by Republicans, has concluded that there was no deliberate wrongdoing by the Obama administration in the 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, said Rep. Mike Thompson of St. Helena, the second-ranking Democrat on the committee.
The panel voted Thursday to declassify the report, the result of two years of investigation by the committee. U.S. intelligence agencies will have to approve making the report public.
Thompson said the report "confirms that no one was deliberately misled, no military assets were withheld and no stand-down order (to U.S. forces) was given."
That conflicts with accusations of administration wrongdoing voiced by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Vista (San Diego County), whose House Government Oversight and Reform Committee has held hearings on the Benghazi attack.

I'm just being facetious. But the Hillary Clinton campaign in 2008 was the source of the birther business.
And then there's all those credible and qualified document experts who have stated categorically that the image of the one we've seen is obviously fabricated. There may be a BC but it isn't that one.

Because of his lousy record, all the scandals (doesn't matter they're true or not), all the failures (the ACA has been a failure). If I were her I would distance myself. She's run against him before.
You know the GOP will. If she joined them it would render their strategy meaningless.

I don't think the O'bama's tenure is so wholly unpopular with the left that it would make sense for Hillary to run against it, but that's my opinion.
Of course the O'bama's tenure is wholly unpopular with the right but she's not going to capture any of that market share.

From what I read the left/liberals/progressives, are unhappy with Obama. Naturally, partisan Dems will never be. She doesn't have to win the right/conservatives or partisan Reps, just enough of the moderate middle. The country is generally fed up with Obama.

The republicans (God bless them) have been a reactive, angry, contemptuous bunch since Obama took office. Not that anybody could blame them, but frankly that's been the only platform they could agree to run on: "Make our constituents more pissed using a misinformation campaign and smear the liberal black man who won the hearts of millions..."
All they ultimately did was polarize the nation and prove to people who are more propaganda-savvy that they know how to reach at straws and smear people alot better than they know what they can legitimately to to offer a legitimate opposition that their base will understand and support. That was Obama's secret weapon, he knew exactly what people were looking for, and his party was right on key with that.
Besides inciting hatred towards Obama, all the republicans can unite on are principles that the democrats are already mostly on board with. Their only hope was finding an alternative approach to those issues that would be more appealing, but they chose the road-block approach and stood in the way of everything for 7 years while blaming the stagnant government workflow on Obama. Furthermore, they decided to make a starker contrast with the issues they did not agree on (like gay marriage, for one) and counted on the excitement of their bullshit to make up for their lack of substance. Yes, their constituents were loyal and swallowed every bit of anti-democrat, anti-Obama propaganda, and they even turned a few heads and gained a few new supporters, but they also lost some supporters and disheartened others by playing the same old game with harder conflict.
I hope they shape up, really. I don't hate them and it saddens me that they have divided people so much.

Actually what I said was it doesn't matter if a scandal is true or not. Take Benghazi, saying it's true the Obama administration did nothing wrong is not saying they did the right thing,m that they weren't incompetent. Just the fact these questions are raised and not handled well raises suspicions.

I think it's kind of "ironic" how some people play the race card against disagreement with Obama's policies.
I mean, who cares if he's white or black, educated or not, multicultural or not, even tempered or not, all the counts are his policies, his political actions--something you do everything in your power to deflect and digress discussion from.

Of course she's not actually running against him, his time is up. But what I read around the interweb is a lot of opinion her best strategy would be to run against his record. Why would she want him stumping for her?
That's right. Hillary should run as fast as she can away from Mr. Maobama!

From what I read the left/liberals/progressives, are unhappy with Obama. Naturally, partisan Dems will never be. She doesn't have to win the right/conservatives or partisan Reps, just enough of the moderate middle. The country is generally fed up with Obama.

They mostly have shifted over to true liberals like Liz Warren and Bernie Sanders, and are dropping Hillary like a hot potato, because of her Wall Street pandering, and Globalist mentality. There are not many Obamunists left on DU!

if Hillary runs, I'm sure they will. They don't seem to have a front-runner for the nomination. Between arguing about RINO & Tea Party, they don't seem able to agree on much. Historically, 2016 is their year, but they don't seem to be able to come together enough to take it. With so much disappointment over bho & the Clinton baggage & the repubs feuding with each other, this could be the year of the Third Party...who knows?

Where's the balance? Of course, you could say that those 60 lives were less important than the lives lost in Benghazi. But then, you'd be wrong.

This is just another example of the Republican decision to attack Obama on every single, solitary event. I keep hearing Joe Wilson screaming "You LIE!!" Name any other president who was treated similarly in a similar situation. Good luck with that. Even Tempered? Obviously, yet they attack that or disbelieve it.
Come -on folks. let's just call it what it really is and stop pretending.
I agree...Let's DO call it what it is.... it's a strategic attempt at the same goal the Nazis, Russians, and Chinese have launched, just on a more "inside" way. This administration has inflicted far more damage than Germany or Japan was able to accomplish.... and in less time.
