Can we at least agree on some hypocrisy on this one? They used his act 60 days later obviously never intending to go into Iraq. Again obviously poll watching.

Obama doesn't care. It is just a piece of paper.

We are making the same mistakes we made in '03. We need to reoccupy Iraq and build a permanent base there.

What mistake did we make in 2003? We smashed the Iraqi army; we captured the jewel of the Middle East in record time; the Muslim world was in total shock.

The Army started to work with the tribe- local level stuff. Everything was going fine. Then the Necon Paul Bremer got there and ended the cooperation with the tribes in favor of creating a Shia central government. Then the Sunni militias began their attack. Only then did shit start going down hill.

Never take ground and then voluntarily leave, brag about it, and when the crap hits the fan say none of it ever happened.......

When you spend the amount we spent you tell people when you'll leave, if ever and under the conditions you decide. You don't need their permission.

The timeline for withdrawal was set before Obama took office. So announcing it was the big crime?

So when do you leave? Never? That sounds like a cost effective solution to the invasion and occupation of a country that never posed a threat to the US.

How did it work out on this deal?

Don't forget we would have stayed with some force, influence and equipment but a certain someone didn't want to complete a status of forces agreement as stated in his debate with Romney. The same debate where he said Putin was no threat.

Or replace Saddam with another bastard beholden to the US. That was the only way to keep Iraq together.
