President Barack Obama (http://www.examiner.com/topic/barack-obama) attempted to reassure one of the Democratic Party's major constituencies, American Latinos, that his priority continues to be immigration reform and a path to citizenship for more than 11 million illegal aliens (http://www.examiner.com/topic/illegal-aliens), during a speech Thursday night in Chicago for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2014/10/02/remarks-president-congressional-hispanic-caucus-institute-gala). "President [Obama] is again trying to con voters with his empty promises. It's his 'if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor' moment for his left-wing supporters," said Michael Snopes, a former intelligence official and police detective.

Even before he made his speech (http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/oct/1/hola-upset-president-obama-latino-activists-picket/), the White House released "trial balloons" to gauge the kind of reception Obama's remarks would garner during his speech. “The president will [remind Hispanics] of his commitment to immigration reform and to do as much as possible to change the nation's immigration system as he can by presidential fiat,” an expert on border security, Charles Lansinger, said.
Obama’s critics claim that once again he disappointed Hispanic lawmakers and other activists pushing the White House to change deportation policies, especially the often vitriolic Rep. Luis Guttierez, D-Illinois, who had once accused Obama of “walking away from our values and our principles” during an appearance on ABC News.

Democrats deserve the wrath of the Latinos. That's what happens when you buy votes. They have you by the balls.

Unfortunately the quote below is by subscription only. But the republicans have failed Americans for so long, Truman had them pegged, and yet they now control the House and they do absolutely nothing for America and it working class. The odd thing is the information is out there, the reality in red states shows it too clearly, but our media wastes times on nonsense when it doesn't make up shit. What to do is in the second paragraph but meanwhile thumbs are twiddled. Liberals suffer from the idea reason works, conservatives watch Fox where reason is absent, guess who often wins.

"...So how can Democrats play the present situation differently? Suppose they were able to wake themselves up, rise from their chairs, and actually do something other than wait for the world to come their way. How then might they challenge the forty-odd House Republicans who have, as the Washington Post puts it, “consistently pushed their caucus to brinkmanship over the past several years”?

Well, they might start by taking note of the factors mentioned in the Post’s next sentence: “On average, the economy in the districts those Republicans represent is significantly worse than it is in the nation at large.” Unemployment is higher. Median income is lower. Jobs still haven’t come back, despite the so-called recovery.

People who live in these places are desperate, as we hear again and again. They are struggling through an economic catastrophe that never seems to end. Is there nothing that liberals might offer them in their situation? Nothing that could persuade these voters to turn away from a party of sabotage and market-worship and tax cuts for the rich, nothing that might make all the gerrymandering in Texas as futile as drilling for oil in Iowa?" The House can't do anything for America if the Senate takes their bills and sidelines them.... But you knew that, right?

When are Latino's going to learn, if a Democrat politician won't come out and take a stand on Immigration NOW, they sure as hell won't after they're elected. Obama and the current crop of Democrats are a fine example. In 2009 and 2010 they passed the Stimulus with only a few republican votes and Obama Care without a single Republican vote. Why couldn't they have done that with Comprehensive Immigration Reform in either of those two years? They could have, they just didn't. It appears they think they get more Latino votes by dangling a carrot of amnesty in front of them than if they really made them citizens. They just might kick the fat white Democrats to the curb and start voting for Latino candidates only, putting themselves out of a job.

I am certainly happy I am not Latino.

Why didn't you read the article so you could stick to the subject? I was not able to make sense out of your reply since it was to something else.

But I challenge your claims. I lived a long time in your camp and am happy to tell you the lies I was taught by the left were totally wrong.

Tick Tock is right..........

Even the Uber Left Wing NY Times gives the democrats about a 39% chance of retaining the Senate. Since Harry Reid changed the filibuster rules, President BO Plenty is going to have a tough way to go till 2016.
