I used to see a fair bit of Mia on FOX News. Of course the was ignored by the main media.

She was a Mayor in Utah and very respected.

Anyway, here she is running for Congress. Seems she will easily win.

Why are you proud of her?

Mia is very knowledgeable about government, a super speaker and broke the mold that declares "blacks belong to Democrats."

I see why the voters of Utah back her.

Why are you proud of her?

That was my thought too. She seems like a blank slate, answers nothing, and may be indicted any day soon? So what's to be proud of?

Utah? Is she a Mormon? Just curious.

But why pride? You don't know her personally, and wouldn't even know she existed if she hadn't run for public office. You have no stake in her accomplishments.

My guess is because she is a Mormon. I think he can be proud of her because she is of his faith?

After you asked, I looked up what Wikipedia has to say and discovered she is a Mormon.

I never knew it though till you asked.

I have enjoyed her on TV a few times when I used to pay extortion fees for FOX. Comcast simply charges too much for FOX though it adds to the package. Comcast gives me 2 of the 3 Cspan channels so I am good.

I admire her gift that caused the people of her town to vote for her to be Mayor.

Were she a Democrat, I doubt you would ask why I am proud of her nor fret if she is a Mormon.

Now on the myth you are Mormon by living in Utah. At one time, a century back, that would be true. The Mormon Church once controlled Utah. They set land aside so other churches could build their own church. There are more Mormons in CA by far than in Utah.

Saratoga Springs government[edit (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mia_Love&action=edit&section=3&editintro=Template:BLP_editintro)]City Council[edit (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mia_Love&action=edit&section=4&editintro=Template:BLP_editintro)]Love won a seat on the Saratoga Springs City Council (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_council) in 2003, becoming the first female Haitian-American elected official inUtah County, Utah (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_County,_Utah); she took office in January 2004.[15] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mia_Love#cite_note-15) After six years on the Council she was elected Mayor[16] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mia_Love#cite_note-16) winning with 861 votes to 594 for her opponent Jeff Francom.[17] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mia_Love#cite_note-17)
Mayor[edit (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mia_Love&action=edit&section=5&editintro=Template:BLP_editintro)]Love was part of the city council that approved a transition from the agriculture tax to municipal tax. She also worked with other city council members to cut expenses, reducing the city’s shortfall during the economic downturn from $3.5 million to $779,000. Saratoga Springs now has the highest possible bond rating for a city of its size.[18] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mia_Love#cite_note-18)
Also during her time as mayor Love led the city through natural disasters of a wild fire and a mudslide shortly later.[19] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mia_Love#cite_note-19)

Is that your priority today to query me over the term pride?

You don't know me. I have known of Mia Love since Bush was president. She appeared on FOX when I saw her talking. She has done things I happen to admire.

It was just a question, relax. There's no need to get so defensive.

Yes there was. It was your need to seem offensive. For which there was no need, nor is there now a need.

If I lived in Utah, maybe.

She's GOP though and she's have to convince me that she's not establishment but establishment has to a degree put her on their t-shirts.

She was the "up and coming Republican" a while back also, a year or two ago but haven't heard much from her since.

This reply was called defensive. I keep reading it to find the part where it is defensive.

Somebody show me.

Then i got the one finger salute by the word, Whatever.

Actually, it's the "I'm not in the mood to suffer your antics today, so let's drop it" salute. Keep bringing it up and you might see the one-finger salute, though.

It is your antics being discussed.
