Disaster Declaration Planned

Dallas County Commissioners will hold a special meeting Thursday at 2 p.m. to declare a disaster over "the potential for widespread or severe damage, injury, loss or threat of life resulting from the Ebola virus."

The declaration could help officials impose new travel restrictions on health care workers who may have cared for the first Dallas Ebola patient, Thomas Eric Duncan.

I wonder who exactly will have the authority to impose travel restrictions on citizens with no symptoms who have committed no crimes........I wonder how general the wording will be as to who could be restricted.

Style over substance...

Saving lives, etc. is secondary.

Being able to defend in court or in the court of public opinion one's "readiness" is more often the basis of a plans design.

I'm sure they are after breaking the bank taking care of one non-citizen for free, and now another, and possibly many more to come. Who do you think is going to pay for all this? Do you think the state should have to bear the costs of the stupidity of Obama's open border policies and his political machinations of the CDC?
