One of the less-publicized realities of the 2014 Senate campaign is that, while both parties are spending hundreds of millions of dollars of money trying to secure the majority, Democrats are getting considerably more bang for their buck.

And down the stretch, they figure to have at least a slight advertising advantage in most of the key races -- despite being outspent overall.

This screams campaign finance reform.

It won't happen though, voters are dullards.

This screams of the destruction to our system Scotus gave us when they passed citizens united, that allowed untold amts of money from pacs to be spent in all or any states to attack candidates.

A large portion of our voting base are simpletons, advertising works - especially attack ads.

This portion of our voting base isn't going to support campaign finance reform let alone demand it. They're too fat and happy with their IPods and SUV's and Florida vacations.

We need political reform and as long as the upper class keeps the middle class sedated and the lower class dependent, it ain't happening.
