Translated = meeting with lobbyists and playing golf.

He just had the White House Correspondants Dinner which he raked in millions with the after after party at Terry McCauliffs place with Bilbo in attendance. 20k a invitation for the Clinton-Crats after after party.

Then he went to the Fundraiser set up by Clooney and raked in 6 Million directly into his war Chest. 15 mil for the Clooney backyard event.

I have threads up on both events(more than likely in the Demos Room) and who was in attendance at the WHC Dinner. Which everyone on the left tells me are the upper 1% who want to give more of their fair share.

I think he should do a fundraiser to pay back taxpayers all the money he's wasted since he's been in office. We could start with Clooney helping him raise $500,000 million to pay back what he flushed down Solyndra.

The man does love to surround himself with adoring fans. Problem is he can only impress youngsters and folks who need him to do them a favor. How sad. :(

I'm sure it's no surprise to you that I've followed Obama's official daily schedule since he's been in office.

Here's a link (http://www.politicalforum.com/subscription.php?folderid=2) if you'd like to check what he did on a particular date.

I'm not aware of a source for former presidents' daily schedules since nobody bothered to start threads about them... so you're asking an unanswerable question. Yes, all past presidents campaigned, but in my opinion, NONE could hold a candle to Barack Obama. He's campaigned since the day he took office. In fact, it's the only thing he knows how to do.

If you'd like to prove George Bush (who showed up for work before sunrise) didn't work as hard as Barack Obama (who seldom shows up before 9:30)... go for it. But please don't think we're just gonna take your word for it. We know... you luvvvvvvs you some Obama. Trust me, I'd like nothing more than to ship him to Canada and let him be your king. Just hope y'all can afford to feed his little wife. ;)

No other President has ever pulled such a publicity stunt with a Joint Session of Congress. Never. The Jackass only knows to campaign, and unfortunately for him, is now facing his first election/job/solicitation where his Affirmative Action card is all used up !!

Whiteboard

Obama in California, Iowa (http://www.politico.com/politico44/whiteboard/2012/5/Obama_in_California__Iowa.html)

5/24/12 4:46 AM EDT

President Obama starts his day with a fundraiser at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, California. He then travels to Newton, Iowa, to call on Congress to extend tax breaks for clean energy companies. He will also attend a campaign event in Des Moines.

See, here's how he works it... he'll make remarks here (Newton, Iowa)

4:55 PM

Obama tours TPI Composites, a wind manufacturer.

5:15 PM

Obama delivers remarks on urging Congress to act on the 'To Do List.'

So taxpayers will be on the hook for his travel expenses to attend 3 fundraisers in two states. (while Biden is campaigning in North Carolina)

Busiest men in DC... lining their own pockets.

I agree with you sister. My point is ALL US presidents do the exact same thing.

This isn't the first time that gas prices have been high or there being lots of young black men out of work while the president goes trolling for dollars.

My point is consistency, not biased partisan perspective.

The solution is serious campaign finance reform.

This actually concerns you Smartmouthwoman? Or is it because you too are caught up in it?

Thinking about this money raising fiasco (since most of it is frittered away on useless advertising campaigns) why does Romney need to partake in such a drama. He has so much cash of his own that he could campaign solely for the votes and use a slogan such as 'I am using my own money to attain the Presidency so just imagine what I would be able to do with yours.'

That's bound to be a winner, even with independents.

Here's some more info:

Instead of speaking at Arlington, as he did last year and as most presidents have done, Obama will appear at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery outside Chicago, the White House said.

Obama is not the first president to miss the Arlington ceremony. Ronald Reagan spoke at West Point one year, and went to his California ranch another year. George H.W. Bush, a war veteran, did not go at all. Bill Clinton, who did not serve in Vietnam and had a rocky time with the military, went to Arlington all eight years, and George W. Bush, who also avoided combat service in Vietnam, attended from 2003 onward.

Obama, Romney to commemorate Memorial Day with veterans (http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/229613-obama-romney-to-commemorate-memorial-day-with-veterans)

President Obama and presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney will both commemorate Memorial Day with tributes to military veterans.

The president and first lady Michelle Obama will participate in the traditional event at Arlington National Cemetery on Monday. The Obamas and Vice President Biden's wife, Jill, will also attend an event at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall on the National Mall to mark the 50th anniversary of the war.

“This month, we’ll begin to mark the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, a time when, to our shame, our veterans did not always receive the respect and the thanks they deserved — a mistake that must never be repeated," the president said in a statement circulated by the White House.

Mitt Romney, meanwhile, will hold a Memorial Day tribute with Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) at the Veterans Museum & Memorial Center in San Diego on Monday.

McCain, the 2008 Republican presidential nominee and a prominent Romney backer, was a Navy captain who was captured and held as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. San Diego is the host to the largest naval fleet in the world.

Has not cut what we owe and didn't bring the troops home as promised. You can't add to the military by thousands and then claim you cut them afterwards. We have more over there than when he was elected. I was for Obama-care just wanted to know how much poor people especially people on fixed incomes were going to be asked to pay. They couldn't answer these questions. You know if two people are making mim wage most cannot afford but a certain amount. How about the middle class without jobs and unemployment has ran out? Holding on to what they have and and most failing then expected another bill. I wanted like many to know what was in the bill and how it was going to be set up. People failing to pay this would be required, would they end up in jail if not? Too many questions and when they said "pass it and then read it was a shock". I like the way Canada is set up and I too believe the government could pass a good bill to help all Americans instead of giving our money away overseas. Even if you have good insurance today they can drop you like nothing if something serious comes up and it's never been right for them to be able to do so because it didn't matter to them that you paid in for over 30 years. That's why many had insurance before the recession.

Well I don't have him as you say on the cross but too many Americans are hurting. 23% unemployment of Native Americans, African Americans have been hit hard too and they have a right to be upset. Most white Americans over 40 have almost given up and many people of all races are in financial trouble. Even in the Clinton era at least he tried. Today kids in high school that use to be able to get a summer job somewhere most can't find one. It's hurting all Americans. Why can't he see don't give money to organizations unless they build here and supply jobs instead of hoping they build here? We need a change and hopefully for the best of all American citizens.

no.. it would take government to get out of the way so business people can function like they should.. as long as government has garbage like mandatory health care hanging over emloyers heads and no true way to measure the cost,, they are not going to invest in new people, same thing with all the regs coming down on carbon credits and green energy,,businesses and the rich are already looking to leave this pest hole and go where they are appreciated, not taxed to death run out of business.

Smartmouthwoman, that picture makes no sense. "Stupid democrats" crucify Obama, thinking he is Jesus? Explain.

It's not the crucifying that's relevant, spunky... it's the fact he's not rising from the dead that's got the Dems wringing their hands. It's over... he's not coming back.

I agree that the Bush's, especially Laura, have far more class than the Obamas ever will. But that doesn't change the fact that his presidency was pretty much a disaster and resulted in us having Pelosi and Reid control Congress for two years, and BO in the White House.

Any one notice that President Obama is going to visit two states bordering Wisconsin, but is not going to make any appearance in Wisconsin. The big Recall election is in four days. Why won't President Obama visit Wisconsin in order to hearten Democratic voters? It seems to me that Mr. Obama has broken faith with his Wisconsin supporters and the unions that finance them.

President Obama should pull out all the stops for the Wisconsin Recall election because if the Democrats fail to recall the Republican Governor then it will be total war against all unions everywhere. Why won't he commit his prestige in an effort to save his ideological colleagues?

Obama Spends the Night at Home in Chicago (http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2012/06/02/obama-spends-night-home-chicago/#comments) June 2, 2012, 1:54 pm

President Obama is taking something of a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off today, spending the night in his own bed in Chicago – like Ferris – sleeping in late, avoiding work, and going for a stroll to his friend’s house.

From the pool report:

After your pool held in vans in the President’s Chicago neighborhood for about 90 minutes Saturday morning, Mr. Obama went out for a stroll of about four blocks to the home of his friend, Martin Nesbitt, in the Hyde Park/Kenwood section of the city.

The president walked into your poolers’ view at 11:47 a.m. Central time at 49th Street and South Woodlawn Ave., strolling with senior adviser Valerie Jarrett. He was wearing tan slacks and a white, open-collared shirt with sleeves rolled up. Ms. Jarrett wore a knee-length, navy dress. They were trailed closely by an agent.

The pool was positioned across the street. As POTUS walked by, he called out, “Nice day, huh?” He asked your poolers if they’d spent money in Chicago last night.

A reporter called out to the president, asking if he had cooked breakfast for himself at home. Mr. Obama smiled and replied, “No, I woke up too late.”
It’s the first time he has spent the night in his Chicago home since April 2011.
Obviously, there were security preparations involved with the president’s stroll. Law enforcement blocked off the streets at 49th and Woodlawn a few minutes before the president’s arrival, and pairs of agents in dark suits walked down the middle of the street. A police canine searched the area, and a garbage can on the street was checked.
No word on whether the president plans to hijack a parade and sing “Twist and Shout” in the middle of the street.

Obama will return to the White House a little later than scheduled this afternoon.

No idea what that means. You do understand he was elected to represent ALL Americans, don't you? And surely you know it's not just the Dems who pay his salary. We have reason to complain if he's never at work... at he's never at work.

Obama, Clinton to Jam New York City at Rush Hour (http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2012/06/04/obama-clinton-jam-new-york-city-rush-hour/)

Look about below, New York City commuters, there’s incoming. President Obama is parachuting in during the afternoon commute to lighten the wallets of as many New Yorkers as he can while stymying the rest of them in traffic.Air Force One is scheduled to land at JFK airport in Queens at 4:35 pm – just as rush hour gets underway – and then race into town for a three-fundraiser romp through Manhattan.

Bill Clinton – who just last week went off message by saying Mitt Romney had had a “sterling business career” at Bain Capital – will co-host each of the events.Rain is predicted for this afternoon in the city, and that along with the presidential duo’s road trip is expected bring traffic to a complete standstill. After landing, Obama will be whisked to an apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side for the first fundraiser, where tickets reportedly cost $40,000 apiece.

Then it’s off to Midtown for an event at the Waldorf Astoria where Jon Bon Jovi will perform. The final bash, billed as “Barack On Broadway,” will feature performances by a gaggle of stars at the New Amsterdam Theater.

Obama returns to Washington in the evening, but he’ll be back next week for another East Coast Hollywood fundraiser at the home of actress Sarah Jessica Parker.-------Isn't he special?

NEW YORK (Reuters) - President Barack Obama enlisted Bill Clinton to campaign alongside him in New York on Monday, tapping the popular ex-president's star power to rake in cash for his re-election bid from Wall Street investors and show-business elite.

But there was no sign of discord as Obama and Clinton put on a show of unity for a night of fundraising that included a reception with big-money donors, a gala at the Waldorf Astoria hotel, and a star-studded "Barack on Broadway" concert. The events raised more than $3.5 million.
Clinton told the first gathering hosted by billionaire hedge fund manager Marc Lasry that Obama must "win this election and win it unambiguously."
"The alternative would be, in my opinion, calamitous for our country and the world," Clinton said as he and Obama stood shoulder to shoulder in a living room of Lasry's Upper East Side home where guests paid $40,000 a head and sipped cocktails.

Moving to a packed Waldorf ballroom, rocker Jon Bon Jovi - a VIP guest on Air Force One from Washington - was the warm-up act for some 500 people who paid a minimum of $2,500 to attend and who cheered the two Democratic heavyweights.

At Lasry's home Clinton accused Romney of wanting to pursue "wrong-headed" economic policies and linked the Republican's focus on budget austerity to crisis-hit Europe.
As Wall Street supporters sat on plush sofas, Obama avoided some of the anti-business rhetoric that his campaign has used against Romney and to blunt criticism over the sluggish economy.

Obama cast himself as a friend of free enterprise, but asserted that Republicans had adopted a policy of market "absolutism.

Obama is neck-and-neck with Romney in polls and could use all the help he can get.....snip~

Nothing exceeds like excess and Libs will always show you the way. Nice flying in a Rocker on Air Force One on the tax-payes dime and time. 40k to have cocktails at a Wall Street Supporters Home. Do they hold their little piinkie finger out while holding the Champagne Glass while taking a sip. this was Monday night into Tuesady morning. Entertaining the Elite so says Reuters. Star-Studded! Do you think the 99% will understand and be forgiving that Obama is catering to Hedge-Fund Managers that are worth bilions of dollars? While telling them he is all for the working man.

It's pretty well known that almost all of our presidents' expenses are covered by taxpayer revenue. Vacations, travel, 5 star hotels, etc. What, you think that GWBush drove his family to Six Flags Great Adventure in his pick-up truck, staying in a nearby motel? Are you interested in buying a bridge...? And if you want your president sleep-deprived, i'd have to ask why.

http://www.politicususa.com/cost-obama-christmas-vacation-bush.html

Those who criticize the cost of Obama’s Christmas vacation don’t want you to know that George W. Bush spent at least $20 million taxpayer dollars just on flights to his ranch in Crawford.

The right wing has been outraged at the four million dollar plus price tag for Obama’s family Christmas vacation, and they constantly hold George W. Bush up as an example of how thrifty a president should be when going on vacation.

The problem is that W. wasn’t thrifty. He was the most expensive vacation president in US history. Not only did Bush spend more days on vacation than any other president, but he used Air Force One more often while on vacation than any other president.

During Bush’s two terms, the cost of operating Air Force One ranged from $56,800 to $68,000 an hour. Bush used Air Force One 77 times to go to his ranch in Crawford, TX. Using the low end cost of $56,800, Media Matters calculated that each trip to Crawford cost taxpayers $259,687 each time, and $20 million total for Bush’s ranch flights.

http://pressenza.com/npermalink/icelandx-a-country-that-wants-to-punish-the-bankers-responsible-for-the-crisis

Last week 9 people were arrested in London and Reykjavik for their possible responsibility for Iceland’s financial collapse in 2008, a deep crisis which developed into an unprecedented public reaction that is changing the country's direction.

It has been a revolution without weapons in Iceland, the country that hosts the world's oldest democracy (since 930), and whose citizens have managed to effect change by going on demonstrations and banging pots and pans. Why have the rest of the Western countries not even heard about it?

Pressure from Icelandic citizens’ has managed not only to bring down a government, but also begin the drafting of a new constitution (in process) and is seeking to put in jail those bankers responsible for the financial crisis in the country. As the saying goes, if you ask for things politely it is much easier to get them.

This quiet revolutionary process has its origins in 2008 when the Icelandic government decided to nationalise the three largest banks, Landsbanki, Kaupthing and Glitnir, whose clients were mainly British, and North and South American.I'm not anti-american, just anti-abuse.

Obama Not Scheduled to Commemorate D-Day (http://www.whitehousedossier.com/2012/06/06/obama-scheduled-commemorate-dday/)
June 6, 2012, 10:10 am

It’s D-Day and President Obama is hitting the beaches – of sunny California!

Instead of scheduling a brief event to mark the 68th anniversary of America’s brutal landing on the shores of Normandy, Obama is already on his way to San Francisco, where he will hold two fundraisers before moving on to Beverly Hills to stage two more.

Obama failed to mark D-Day with either a speech or a written proclamation both last year or the year before. He did give a speech in 2009, the 65th anniversary of the event.
First Lady Michelle Obama, who has made much of her “Joining Forces” campaign to support military families, also has nothing planned for D-Day. She’ll be in New York City for a fundraiser and then in Philadelphia to meet with campaign volunteers.

Obama’s failure to mark D-Day in any significant way is both a shame and a political mistake.

According to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, two critical swing states – Florida and Pennsylvania, are among the top five states in terms of veterans’ population. Within the top twelve are four others – Michigan, Ohio, Virginia and North Carolina – all states Obama desperately needs to carry.

***

It's not like this fundraising trip hasn't been scheduled for awhile... I can hear the conversation now:

"Mr. President, June 6th is D-Day... you sure you want to skip the events? It means a lot to vets who served in WWII."

"Aw, to hell with 'em. Raising money for my re-election is much more important than the feelings of a bunch of old wardogs. Go ahead and schedule my trip to California. If they don't like it, let 'em eat cake."

So now how you feel about that extra 10yr commitment to Afghanistan. Which will require the shifting of US Military Advisors
in and out of there. Not to mention the stocking of the land down unda. While also paying for that extra gas while campaigning. Think he could like kill two birds with one stone? As in get some work done and campaign while reducing some of the US spending abroad.

You can check out Jack Hines Former Gang prosectuor for Cook County and Ray Nash for Will County. All you need do.....is ask them about Lil Sicilly. They can tell you who helped out with that Border Bullshit in Chicago Heights with the Kings and Counts. I was straight-up People. Round back when Jesse was hanging out with the Blackstone and I can take you back to some of my bruthas that started in the Vice-Lords. Including maintaining that respect from the Folks.

When it comes to little kids innocently getting shot and killed because of fools. I don't play with them, brutha. What's even better is.....all of them know I don't play. Chicago PD can validate that as well.

The strange thing about the war in Afghanistan... did you know there have been two and a half times the number of murders in Barack's hometown of Chicago since 2001 than military casualities in Afghanistan?

Looks like Barry needs to clean up his own backyard before going out to conquer the world, doesn't it?Point?

Yeah, it's hilarious when the Commander in Chief thumbs his nose at war vets. Look for them to flock to the polls in November to support him! :icon_salut:You might want to check the validity of that moronic story. The only mere mention of that is the one you provided. The rest of the universe is pretty quiet on that one. Of course, it's most likely that all of America's vets read that stupid goof.

Yeah... this is ALL OVER THE NEWS today! It's EVERYWHERE!!!

This is some funny stuff, alright. :sign10:

Yeah, funny as hell which is what those Americans went through, those who died and those who lived with the memories of that day. The longest day did not end there, they continued to fight more battles. Your post is typical of a leftist loser.

Yes, some of the CONSERVATIVE networks played that today. This is what a real leader does who actually honors and appreciates the military and what they stand for.

Maybe The President should propose another Bill for the GOP to Filibuster :)

It's not like they've done anything since October 2010.

Unless he can call it in from the road, chances are he won't have time between now and Nov.

Let's see, with Barack & ValJar fundraising on the West Coast and Michelle & Joe fundraising on the East Coast, that leaves Boehner next in charge, huh?

Works for me.

Quote of the Day

"There was a lot of cheating in Wisconsin. I mean, poll workers were denying dead people the right to vote. And that's just not right."

- Barack Obama

A note from our attorneys: This is not a real quote

Notice how simple they are, too. Mention Boehner, get 3 pics of Boehner with a silly comment. It's like kindergarten. *yawn*

Because some of us are busy from time to time ... 3 days a week. :)

Obama Plays Golf for the 99th Time (http://www.whitehousedossier.com/)

June 9, 2012

President Obama this afternoon went golfing for the 99th time of his presidency.

Obama is on the links at Fort Belvoir with White House staffers Mike Brush and Marvin Nicholson, and Joe Paulson.

This is Obama’s seventh time golfing this year.

Barack's really cut down on the golf this year. Too busy campaigning.

Somebody remind me... exactly what is it Barack Obama excels in? They say he's a great speaker, but we soon learned he's mediocre at best without a teleprompter. I'm sure he'd be fun to have a beer with or something, but really... what makes him stand out in a crowd? (besides being POTUS, I mean)
