I worry that young people have such a distrust for politics, that none of them want to get in the game. Political science majors are almost nonexistent.

They see that these guys spend WAY more of their time fundraising, campaigning and demonizing their opponent than they do actually governing. Citizen's United made this worse, not better.

I wish i had a solution but i don't. It's almost looking like a death spiral.

We know the system is beyond repair, is why. How can you fix it now, seriously? K Street is within blocks of Congress. No Congressman will vote in term limits for themselves. Within two years of entering office everyone goes to shit.

Besides, both Pew and Reason-Rupe shows millennials as being socially liberal and fiscally conservative, "ie "libertarian" either left leaning (Green Arrow) or right leaning (Animal Mother). They are also smart enough to know that the two parties kick out and shut down libertarian candidates, so rather than vote for people you hate, they don't vote.

I find ways to live outside the system now. If I can avoid government, I will.
