Fisherman on England’s Northern coast have been finding a curious catch in their nets recently—Canadian lobster.

The Homarus Americanus is native to the Atlantic ocean, just off the North American coast—3,500 miles away from the U.K. Are the lobsters just taking a leisurely swim across the pond?

According to fishery experts, no.

Researchers now believe passengers aboard Atlantic-crossing cruise ships have actually been buying live lobsters and, in a misguided effort of animal rights activism, throwing them overboard in an effort to save the crustaceans, reports the Daily Mail. Lol, but there are about 1002 other explanations. However i applaud you for finding an interesting story.

First of all, what cruise ship sells live lobsters or even if they did, what passenger would be able to access them aboard a cruise ship -- they are dead and FROZEN.

If one were that rich, an "animal-lover vegan lib-rul" .. wouldn't remove the rubber bands (c'mon -- that'd be stoopid!)

‘People buy lobster for dinner, feel sorry for it and ask the waiter to chuck it over"

Oh my Jesus, so people sitting in a cruise ship dining room are delivered live lobster?

This is dumb on SO many levels, but it's interesting and will make the Republican anti-animal rights crowd so very happy ;-)

http://www.foxnews.com/travel/2014/12/02/cruise-ship-diners-may-throwing-lobsters-overboard-to-save-animals/Urban legend/ Hoax, random bullshit? Parody? More lies from Fox? A Live lobster at a supermarket or Fish shop.. ain't cheap. It's triple that on a cruiseliner..and you don't just reach in and grab a few.. run out..toss them over....and FWIW.. leave the rubberbands on. The CLUE though... Cruise Ships from the USA won't typically go to the UK's NORTH Coast. London is on the SOUTH end where more ships tend to go. Then... NEXT clue... catching ANY Lobsters in NETS is rare.. Lobsters live on the BOTTOM..in semi Shallow areas So... Unless someone dumped HUNDREDS right there...it's uinlikely ANY turn up in regular nets.

THIS is a BULLSHIT story some jerk invented. Fox ...does not fact check much...Nor does this POSTER ...it seems.
Releasing a Lobster in the Atlantic..minus the rubber bands.. may give him a second chance. In a place Lobsters don't thrive... it's pointless. There is NO credible source.

So you have "PETA types" who are so disconnected from the cycle of life that they "released " the lobster with out any way to defend or feed itself?
FUCKING PRICELESS!
