Draft Gowdy for Speaker of the House. (http://conservativetribune.com/draft-gowdy-for-speaker/) The clown Boehner should be tared and feathered (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarring_and_feathering)and run out of town.
Rep. Gowdy, R-S.C., was one of the highest profile voices urging a vote against the Cromnibus bill and for defunding amnesty.
His conservative credentials have also been on display in House committees, including the House Select Committee on Benghazi, in which his adversarial style has won him the admiration of the grassroots of the party.

Gowdy was one tough prosecutor, I think he would be excellent as the Speaker. Boehner has been a major disappointment. Working across the aisle is one thing, but a sellout is something totally different.

Really? Why would he support a CR bill that funded the government for the remainder of the year then and not just a short term so he could make those changes?
And when he decided to include funding for the ACA and the presidents new immigration executive orders? why would he do that if he did not support the spending?
He betrayed the people that voted for republicans, and he should lose his position of power for it!

Well, it definitely won't be Pelosi since she's a Dem. Thank Goodness.

I am not claiming to be a fan of his. All I am saying, before we chop off the bulls legs, let's see what the bull does with a new Senate.

It is not hard to see. The pattern is set.
they will get to the end of September next year without a new budget, they will extend it through the end of the year, like they did this year to give them more time.
At the end of the year, they will tell everyone that it is too close to the Presidential elections to fight the good fight now, and they will pass a massive spending bill that will take the country though the elections. Promising to change things if the capture the Whitehouse too
If they do capture the Whitehouse, they will tell everyone that it was so screwed up that they have to take a couple of year to sort it out.
All the time adding hundreds of billions to the national debt and accumulating power for themselves.
The reason that they did not change the budget in this cycle is because the republicans don't want to change it either.
They will not likely get another one of my votes.

Zelmo, I think you have been peeking in my crystal ball. I have wondered since the mid-terms what changes we would actually see. I don't think we are going to see different except for more pointing fingers from the repub side of the aisle. I believe we will see another 2 years of bush/Obama. The credit cards will get so much use they will be melted down...and they will get new cards rather than stop spending. I don't care who gets the blame or the glory...someone needs to change the lock on the credit card vault!

We could make an equally absurd list of democrats in congress.
Plus the White House.
It the one true point the 3 percent crowd makes when they complain about both parties.

Well one thing for sure it the person that does this is not likely to have a D or an R behind their name.
I will only vote for those committed to smaller government and decreasing the national debt.
In another thread peter asked how it could be done, I laid it out and Not one person disputed it they just kept saying it can't be done.
Reality is going to come knocking, sooner or later, and of course they will all be shocked when it does

Agreeing with 3 percenters like yourself that the leadership of both parties is bad makes me a dimwit?

I don't believe the majority of the nation has realized that...yet. They still believe that someone (R/D) has the solution and if they just believe in them strongly enough everything will be ok. Let's not accept that both parties got us here...its all the fault of the 'other guy'.
It actually reminds me of the Peter Pan story...where Tinkerbell is fading and all the children have to believe in her very hard to keep her from fading to nothing. Sounds like a perfect analogy for our national politics.

Someone R or D has the power and I think the R's are marginally better than the D's or F's ( fence sitters).

I'm half-kidding, half-serious. His hair really does bother me, but it wouldn't keep me from supporting him. I'm more making the point that partisans will support people just because of the party label they claim, so why not hairstyle too?
