Other than it's socialized healthcare, a product of more liberal times, Canada is actually quite conservative. Consider We Can Cut Government: Canada Did (http://www.cato.org/pubs/policy_report/v34n3/cprv34n3-1.html).

That is what I hear from Canadians.

Their banks are better regulated (not saying more regulated, better) and are not in the pickle our and European banks are.

Canada has been rising, while the US has been falling, now 10th, under liberals Bush and Obama, in the Index of Economic Freedom (http://www.heritage.org/index/default). In another list, The Happiest Countries in the World (http://finance.yahoo.com/news/the-happiest-countries-in-the-world.html), Canada is up there but the US doesn't even make the top 10.

I'm not dissing Americans, I'm one, for I don't think the country class is the problem, it's the damned ruling class we have.

Banks in Europe are at a disadvantage. They are compelled to take action for political reasons as the State desires.

Right - it's not dissing Americans. We need to admit these problems exist and work to fix them.

They have a lot of cons but the liberals are winning. Canada is more PC than us and just wait we will catch up. Besides that they are selling off their land. I will stay here too cold for a skinny white woman. The south will stand and fight.

The population of California is slightly larger than the entire population of Canada. Comparing social programs is like talking apples & oranges. Nobody's moving to Canada if Obama wins re-election. We'll need everybody to stay here and fight the obvious voter fraud that got him 4 more years.

It does. It is also the most respectful country in the world, has a crime rate a fraction of the United States....and a surprisingly better economy with its citizens rated among the top 20 heal;thiest in the world, while Americans are well down the scale.

I would not doubt for a moment that some people would rather embraces the horrors of universal medicare, abortion and gay marriage just to get the hell away from a lying, fraudulent, incompetent, slithering misfit of a president who has been hiding his history..

But, we also have a far stronger Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the bullshit Obama is playing under the Patroit Act simply won't be tollerated here.

It's how we've won just about all of our freedoms in this country, and we're all in this together as Americans. Everyone's a minority if we want to focus on our differences - I'm an American first and I know many folks from different backgrounds agree with me. It's not about luck...it's about standing up for what is right :)

His re-election gets a little more unlikely every day. Take today for example:

Sean Hannity has his man on the street interviews in NYC where the typical response is as dumb as this.

One reason many Americans have no knowledge of current events is because they don't really have to. They are comfortable and happy. They aren't some repressed people, seething with hatred, preparing to change their government. Those people need to be on the ball. Fat, dumb and happy Americans don't.
