SEATTLE (AP) — A photo of the new U.S. ambassador to China carrying his own backpack and ordering his own coffee at an airport has charmed Chinese citizens not used to such frugality from their officials.

Rickshaws (or rickshas) are a mode of human-powered transport: a runner draws a two-wheeled cart which seats one or two persons. A European missionary to Japan named Jonathan Scobie invented rickshaws around 1869 to transport his invalid wife through the streets of Yokohama. The word "rickshaw" comes from the Japanese jinrikisha (人力車) which literally means "human-powered vehicle".

Police say the accident happened on the Martin Luther King Promenade, a pedestrian pathway, that borders the trolley tracks. It's an area that prohibits pedi-cabs and bicycles. Police say the driver, a 23-year-old from Istanbul, Turkey was driving unsafe and performing serpentine pattern on the sidewalk and the passengers were swaying from side to side.

I gave the idea to my kids since they were out of jobs. Plus people throw away bikes. So its not like they couldn't get the parts and paint their own stuff up. Make their own carts. Told them they knew some chicks that were out of work. Become partners and get those girls in shape.
