Day one.. yes REALLY.

The day Republicans took over Congress, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) declared (http://www.salon.com/2015/01/03/gop_focus_for_congress_cut_deficit_dont_stumble/), “We’re focused on job creation” and running “a more efficient, effective, accountable government.”

“Serious adults are in charge here,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) added for good measure, “and we intend to make progress.”

And then they introduced no fewer than five restrictions on abortion (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/01/08/republicans-abortion_n_6438522.html) on the first day of the new Republican-controlled Congress. Because, you know, priorities.

Kinda like repealing the Patriot Act like he promised wasn't Obama's priority when he had his Democratic Congress.

Well, it's nice to have the "adults" back in charge ;-)

Good.

I doubt it goes anywhere though, this is just posturing.

Again, this is why they were elected.

Not sure why the resident libtards are shitting their pants over it.

No, this isn't why they were elected.

PRINCETON, NJ -- Forty years after the Supreme Court issued its opinion in Roe v. Wade, significantly more Americans want the landmark abortion decision kept in place rather than overturned, 53% to 29%. Another 18% have no opinion, the highest level of uncertainty Gallup has recorded on this question in trends dating to 1989.

Smart Republicans know that this is NOT what their constituents want them to do. But you can't keep down holier-than-thous like Diaperboy Vitter!

That is a sign that in America, man is being more cruel to man. As well as babies.

If the restrictions are sound, why not push for them?

We hold these trues to be self evident, that all men are created equal and endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

So they were trying to save Life first, that sounds about right

It doesn't effect me because I'll never have an abortion. The problem with any law is that they always turn right to shit. I'm pro-personal responsibility but the second you outlaw abortions except for medical reasons you'll have women in front of a judge until it takes forever and its too late.

I honestly don't think man has the brains or wisdom to write laws on "human" shit. You can see how the drug war was supposed to help people and all it did was destroy inner cities, cause more violence and raise our taxes. People still take drugs. Let the government touch abortion and you either end up with a million abortions a year like we have now or you'll end up with a black market abortion industry if the other side got their way.

Its ok to admit defeat on something and let communities and individuals solve it.

And you know that's their basic agenda, and not to actually work doing something truly constructive for ALL of the people.
