“Over the past five years, our businesses have created more than 11 million new jobs.”

The low point in jobs was reached in February 2010, and there has indeed been a gain of more than 11 million private-sector jobs since then, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data.

Note that the president carefully referred to “businesses,” as in the same period the number of federal, state and local government jobs has actually declined by more than 500,000. So adding in government jobs slightly reduces the total number of new nonfarm jobs to 10.7 million jobs (http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/CES0000000001).

While Obama has touted what he often calls the “longest stretch of uninterrupted private sector job growth” in U.S. history, the average number of jobs created in this period is significantly lower than under either Bill Clinton or Ronald Reagan. (When you exclude a single month of decline, in fact, Clinton and Reagan had streaks of 85 and 71 months, respectively.)

Still, the president finally has some bragging rights about the state of the economy. With the rate of job creation averaging almost 250,000 jobs a month in 2014, this is the first State of the Union address given by Obama in which the number of jobs in the United States is actually higher than when the recession began in December 2007. Even with the massive jobs losses at the start of his presidency, Obama can claim that nearly 6.4 million jobs were added since he took office. At this point in George W. Bush’s presidency, the comparable number was 4.5 million – and for Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan, the figure was 18 million and 9.4 million, respectively.

If there were ever a lie purported to back into an CYA preferred issue:

“2014 was the planet’s warmest year on record. Now, one year doesn’t make a trend, but this does – 14 of the 15 warmest years on record have all fallen in the first 15 years of this century.”Obama correctly cited research (http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-30852588) from U.S. government scientists.

Since 1880 ..................LOL, uh huh! they make it sound how they want don't they?

(by 0.02 degrees Celsius) in recorded history (since records were kept, starting 135 years ago). The reality is, the alleged record isn’t even outside of the margin of error (http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/FAQ.html) NASA assumes, nor does it suggest we’re on our way to catastrophic global warming.

Bastardi contended that climate alarmism is “ludicrous” and “not about science.” He didn’t mince words, blasting climate alarmists as living in a “loony world.” He also criticized news media that “simply follow what the majority thinks because they want to be popular” instead of understanding the issue.
After many years working with AccuWeather, Bastardi is now a weather forecaster for Weatherbell Analytics LLC (http://www.weatherbell.com/team-bio/#bastardi), where he is tasked with making accurate and objective forecasts for private sector clients. He has appeared on many news broadcasts, including Fox News, CBS and ABC.
Bastardi specializes in understanding the history of weather and climate and said he used this understanding to accurately predict both Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Arthur ahead of official warnings. In contrast, he said alarmists “don’t know what happened yesterday” or “know anything about what happened in the past.”
As Bastardi pointed out, he has to make accurate predictions in order to be paid and has no political motivation.

Don't need to be face to face to know you're intelligence level. Just read the Cut & Paste posts that are typically unread much less fact checked posts. You invite it my friend.

If you are as successful as you boast then you should understand for example that getting "your" vs. "you're" transposed has nothing to do with intelligence. BTW people that boast and brag about their income and their success as much as you do are usually lying or at the least stretching. For sure one that has had self esteem issues.

See No Face to Face to see this so clearly.

In reply to "I know, I won twice." Sort of Mr. President, but your personal success hasn't translated to party success anywhere. Does that make you a team player? Nope, just ask anyone around and see what your people think as you are about to set more unflattering records. The first time ever after a veto (IRAN) will your veto be rebuked by your own party members. I think that will be a first ever. BTW my prediction after you leave and can't use the IRS or other agencies to attack I believe the truth will come out about you Mr Pres. I predict that many of your own party members will say you were impossible to work with and extremely vindictive. Great job.

Then of course going against your party on Cuba, which is probably driving the override on the Veto.

Moral of the story? If you want to measure individual success as winning a couple of elections vs. results and the success of your party go ahead but it reaffirms you could care less about the team. There is no I in team Leon!

BTW his party is in a mess and the world is extremely unstable thanks to a void in interest and leadership by this guy.

Notice how "That's" being used in the sense of the correction and "too blind..." is in quotes indicating both the correction and where that correction was in the text.

And whatever should always be whatever...
