I'm sure it will go as far as the one to protect the 4th Amendment but at least he's trying.

There are a lot of issues that I agree with Rand on...

The seizure laws are out of control. I'm very surprised they've lasted as long as they have.

All they do is incentive police to take your shit.

We do have common ground Aloysha.

This derives from the RICO laws. I am persuaded that RICO is the model for Patriot though Patriot is not for drug dealers but for terrorists.

Rand will have plenty of republican backing and if Obama won't veto it, we can resolve this long standing very unfair law.

The person who drafted the PA claims his intent was to give law enforcement the same tools for terror investigations that they have long had against the Mob. If true, it has been greatly expanded in its enactment.

Can't see why he would unless it's attached to a bunch of other junk.

I don't have a lot of hope for this since the bipartisan 4th Amendment Protection Act when nowhere.

The government is just way out of control. The Bill of Rights is toilet paper at this point. Sotomayer pretty much said so the other day.

For those who don't know, Peter is talking about RICO as the base for Patriot. I agree with his finding.

Terrorists are another can of worms. Naturally they expanded the scope of the law.

He should have threw in some free stuff along with his bill, then it would have gotten much more support.
