“It is unfair to say Republicans have achieved nothing in their dozens of attempts since 2010 to repeal Obamacare,” Dana Millbank (http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/dana-milbank-with-latest-obamacare-repeal-vote-gop-sets-record-for-futility/2015/02/03/26a4266c-abf2-11e4-9c91-e9d2f9fde644_story.html) writes.

“In Tuesday’s repeal effort by House Republicans — their first of this Congress and their 56th overall — it became clear that they had succeeded at one thing: They had bored even themselves into a slumber. For much of the debate Tuesday afternoon, no more than a dozen seats were occupied on the pro-repeal side of the House. More than once, the GOP had nobody available to speak.”

Cigar, it is important to repeal Obamacare. It's seriously screwing up the economy and causing unemployment and underemployment. I know you're a wealthy business owner, so you don't care about people who have to get a job to support their family.

I don't think you're fully grasping what's going on here. Obamacare is STILL unpopular. It is STILL a fucking disaster. And it COST the Democrats control of Congress.

By putting repeal to a vote so many times, the GOP has forced Democrats to go on record defending it. Look how that worked so well for Nazi Pelosi, FORMER Speaker of the House.

In 2017, President Scott Walker and a Republican Congress will overturn Obamacare once and for all. And the Democrat Congressmen who continued to support it will lose their jobs.

I'd say that's a pretty good strategery.

Sign-ups for health plans on federal marketplaces in Nebraska, Iowa well ahead of last year's pace

Sign-ups for health plans on the federal Affordable Care Act marketplaces in Nebraska and Iowa passed 100,000 by the end of January, well ahead of last year’s pace, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said Wednesday.

In Nebraska, 64,008 people either signed up or were automatically re-enrolled in plans, with 23,962, or more than one-third, in the Omaha metro area. By the end of the open enrollment period last year, 42,975 people in Nebraska had chosen plans.

In Iowa, 38,243 people signed up or were automatically re-enrolled, the department said. By the end of last year’s open enrollment period, 29,163 people had selected plans. Nationally, 7.5 million people have enrolled or have been automatically re-enrolled so far during this year’s open enrollment.
