Unusual chain of coincidences, a pathological liar finally getting his comeuppance. But Barack Obama is a pathological liar and nobody in the media is ever willing to call HIM on it. Strange that Brian Williams should fall now By Timothy Birdnow (http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/members/69621/Birdnow/220) February 9, 2015 http://canadafreepress.com/images/uploads/birdnow020915.jpg
Twelve years ago Brian Williams made an astonishing claim. He said a Chinook helicopter he was flying in was shot down in Iraq. Now, few would believe such a claim could be a lie, because nobody would make such an easily verifiable claim if it were. It is an exercise in the strategy of Joseph Goebbels; if you are going to lie you go all in. There is only one problem; reality disagreed with Williams’ claim. So did everyone who was present. The truth just came out, thirteen years later. This is puzzling, very puzzling. Why did it take so long for an obvious fabrication to be noticed by the media? It’s not as if the executives at NBC were unaware of the problem (http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2015/02/variety_nbc_execs_were_warned_of_williams_lies.htm l). But for some strange reason nobody bothered to check on this matter - until the military publication Stars and Stripes (http://www.stripes.com/news/us/soldiers-offer-eyewitness-accounts-of-the-brian-williams-chinook-story-1.328256) broke the story. This makes no sense. Over a decade of consistent lying by Williams and now people are coming forward, and more importantly, the media is covering this. The mainstream media does not work that way; they would not throw one of their own overboard lightly. In short, there is a hidden agenda here. It is interesting that this incident comes up at the start of the Presidential election cycle. Why? Because there is a candidate, the unquestioned frontrunner in the Democratic Party, who has made a very similar false claim.
Hillary Clinton is on record with a claim that, in 1996, she came under sniper fire while flying into Bosnia. It was an exciting tale, one that certainly inflated the “street creds” of Mrs. Clinton, who needed some drama in her pathetically slim political resume’. Only one problem; CBS correspondent Sharyl Attkinsson (http://sharylattkisson.com/hillary-clintons-dodging-sniper-fire-in-bosnia-tale/) was with Mrs. Clinton on that trip to Bosnia. It never happened. So, NBC’s chief anchor is being driven out because he lied about an incident involving sniper fire and the Democratic frontrunner has told a very similar lie. Curiouser and curiouser. And the story about Williams was broken by Stars and Stripes, an admittedly independent journal that is nevertheless inside the DOD. That is a very interesting coincidence. Who is in charge of the Department of Defense? When last I checked the Commander-in-Chief was also the head of the Democratic Party. It is interesting to note that 64% of journalists believe the government is spying on them, reading their e-mails (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/64-reporters-say-feds-spying-on-their-email-calls-online-searches/article/2559854). We know Sharyl Attkinsson was the victim of a suspicious act of espionage, (http://humanevents.com/2014/10/28/spying-on-sharyl/) for instance. Would taking down the lead Anchor of NBC not be a friendly little “nudge” (as Cass Sunstein would say) to get other journalists in line? We know the Chicago Way crowd does in fact play ball that way.

Poor Brian Williams, just when his bombastic reports were waning anyway. His lies are like potato chips, there no just one in the sack. We are finding that out now. Will Williams go the way of Dan Rather? Apparently there are those that think so, like Brokaw.
