PARIS (AP) — For the first time in modern-day France, the country now has a Cabinet where women hold half the posts.

Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault named two new female ministers on Thursday in a minor government adjustment, bringing the total number of women in the 38-member Cabinet to 19.....snip~

Hollande kept his campaign pledge. Might see France step back some from that World Stage now. Half his cabinet is now women. Think this will affect politics with the M.E. and France even more now?

Both the early communist and fascist parties of Europe pushed for woman's suffrage: they knew that women in government (directly or indirectly through voting) tend to support the nanny State.
